Dr. Loar attended dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. After working for 5 years as a general dentist he decided he wanted to further his education and pursue his passion of pediatric dentistry. He completed a residency in Laredo, Texas through his Alma Mater UTHSCSA.
After that he fell in love with volunteerism and travel and was able to donate his time on numerous international dental volunteer trips. To date he has done volunteer dentistry in 14 countries around the world and participated in over 40 dental events.
He is also active in many dental organizations where he holds various leadership roles including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Loar published a children’s book on oral health titled Sugar Bugs. He was awarded as one of the 40 under 40 Top Dental Specialists by Incisal Edge Magazine and recently earned his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
