About Dr. Robert John
We're pleased to introduce Dr. Evan John, our newest General Dentist at High Point Dentistry on South Congress in Austin!
He grew up in Norman, Oklahoma, living there for 17 years before becoming a Texas resident. Dr. John earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center College of Dentistry. After dental school, he wanted to advance his multidisciplinary dental knowledge and clinical skills, so he attended a 12-month residency program at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, earning a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD). He is proficient in a wide variety of dental procedures, including Botox, surgery, cosmetics, root canals, Invisalign, implants, crowns, bridges, and much more!
Dr. John is a total plant dad-he enjoys gardening and growing a wide variety of orchids, succulents, and tropical plants in his free time. He is also very active in the competitive volleyball community in Texas, playing in several indoor and grass leagues here in Austin.
Dr. John is looking forward to serving his community and providing quality dental care here at High Point Dentistry!

Yo, just had my dental appointment at Dr. Evan's office and let me tell you, it was a whole vibe! ??? The staff were straight-up legends—mad chill and super friendly! Like, they made me feel right at home, no cap.
Dr. Evan is the GOAT of dentists—he's not just about that dental life; he actually cares and makes the whole experience less cringe. He explained everything in a way that didn’t make me feel like I was listening to a boring lecture, and he even cracked some jokes that had me LOLing in the chair. ??
The office itself? Total aesthetic. It’s all about those good vibes with cute decor and chill music playing. I was vibing the whole time, and honestly, I was low-key sad to leave! ??
If you're looking for a dentist who makes you feel seen and heard, Dr. Evan and his squad are the move. 10/10 would recommend.

Great experience with Dr. Evan and the team at High Point SoCo. The office is welcoming, the staff is friendly, and Dr. Evan took the time to explain everything clearly. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a professional and caring dentist! Also Angela from the front desk was super helpful explaining the treatment to me and what the costs were.

Dr. John has been such an excellent provider to my whole family, so much so, we followed him to this new practice. He is very thorough, gentle and enaging. I also appreciate that he is a straight shooter. He will tell you when a dental treatment investment is necessary and when we can “wait and see”. We have done everything from root canals, fillings, Invisalign, regular dental maintenance, and working through the dental implant process. 100% recommend him as a provider!

I had the best experience from the moment I walked in. The staff was super friendly. Dr. Evan was very professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to actually explain my treatment which I really appreciated. I will definitely be returning for my next appointment! I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for top-notch dental care.

I had a lot of questions about the Invisalign process and Dr. John answered everything thoroughly, patiently, and made sure I left feeling comfortable. He took a lot of photos and angles during my initial assessment, and then took his time meticulously installing the buttons and fitting my first retainer. I'm in my first few trays and everything is going super smooth. Really looking forward to my future smile and continuing my treatments with Dr. John.
