I understand that many people experience high levels of anxiety when just thinking about visiting the dentist. This is especially tough for people who have neglected their oral health due to a long-standing real phobia of dentistry. In addition to the traditional dental pain-reduction techniques, I have knowledge of many stress-reducing and relaxation practices. I think you will be pleasantly surprised to find your visit to be quite enjoyable.
We offer many cosmetic dental options, including Invisalign, implant restorations, porcelain veneers, and tooth-colored fillings.
We will work with most PPO insurance plans for reimbursement and also offer monthly payment options for your convenience.
Choosing your dentist is so important and may even be a "breakthrough" decision for you. I don't take that lightly. Please be assured that my staff and I are here to support you with any and all of the needs or concerns you may have. I look forward to meeting you.

This is not really a review of the doctor himself but his staff and his office. I scheduled an appointment through Zocdoc. They later called me on his behalf to let me know that they need to reschedule. When I came to his office the day of the appointment, I was told that they will be taking some x rays and perform a check-up. I told him I’m here for cleaning and don’t need a check-up. The staff came-in, took my stuff, and asked me to accompany them to the door because they needed to talk to me. Then, they led me to the door and told me there will not be any cleaning done because the hygienist was not there. I was upset that they hadn’t notified me on the phone, before I actually went there. I had come all the way from Manhattan and wasted an hour of my time for nothing. Then I knocked on the window they were sitting behind and opened it to ask why they hadn’t notified me, the woman behind the window asked me to call the call center and ask them. Then I tried to understand why I needed to call the call center when the doctor is here. She immediately asked me to leave and threatened to call the police. Without even giving me any chance to defend myself, she picked up the phone and dialed the police. SHAME on you for treating people like criminals, like we are some kind of threat. SHAME on you for reacting in this manner although it was your fault. SHAME on you.

I lost a tooth and a half because the receptionist/assistant told the dentist not to touch my mouth AFTER I was given an approval and thus same unstable receptionist had me denied of services again because I felt I deserve an apology for her actions.

I am having to switch dentists again - this office is highly unorganized. i made 4 visits total and never was able to achieve my goal of getting molds made for a night guard. the dentist and hygienist aren't there on the same days so you have to make separate appointments for a cleaning and a checkup. huge waste of time.

I love the doctors, dental assistants, and the facility, but this was the 2nd time I made an appointment with them and was promised I would be seen right away...The first time I waited almost 2 hours and the second time I waited over an hour to be seen, all the while being told that they over booked, they didn't have enough staff, or that all the exam rooms were taken. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with whomever is making the appointments.

The staff was so kind and accommodating. The receptionist was so sweet, and my dental hygienist Jen was great. Everyone seems happy to be there! Dr. Rao was straightforward and told me what needed done, and what I could do preventatively, which I really appreciated. Best experience at the dentist I've had in a long time!

My first visit with Dr. Rao was incredibly pleasant. I've never thought of dentistry as an art form but Mr. Rao challenges that notion, bringing a sincere passion for dentistry, a fun, easy going demeanor, and an attentive listening to his patients, making an incredibly pleasant environment. I appreciated his candor coupled with absolutely no trace of pushiness. I sincerely look forward to being Mr. Rao's patient from now on!

Absolutely stellar. I ended up in his office because of a Groupon deal so I wasn't expecting the best experience but he proved me wrong. The staff as well as Dr. Rao were phenomenal. I am looking forward to my next visit...who says that about the dentist?! Also, thanks to Dr. Rao, my wisdom tooth extraction was also great, so thank you for the referral!!

Highly professional and patient friendly. Jessica(office manager) was very informative and took the time to explain cost and plan thoroughly. All of the medical assistance were friendly and supportive of my procedure and Dr. Rao was the absolute best. He explained exactly what he was doing and why. He made sure I was most comfortable and did a very clean job at caring for my mouth. I haven't been to a Dentist in years, bad I know, but I'm very glad I found Dr. Rao and his team.

Ron and his staff as some of the warmest medical practitioners I've had the pleasure of interacting with. The offices are clean without being sterile and the staff is friendly and oriented toward the patient at all times. As for Ron himself, I couldn't heap enough praise on the man. Delightful bedside manner, a commitment to dental perfection, and attuned to his patients' needs. I would recommend Ron to anybody!

Dissapointing front end manner. The receptionist was useless and didn't greet me right away or help to ensure all my files came through from a previous dentist. I ended up having to make multiple calls cause she refused to do a part of her job, cause it would take "forever" to find, yet only took me a whole 10 minutes to do all her work. Also heard her complain about online booking. right away i had major doubts to even see the dentist due to lack of interest, politeness, and assistance from the front. I had to wait over 2 hours just to be seen. Don't let the glowing reviews fool you.

Overall- the visit in the chair was excellent. Both nurses (is that what you call dentists assistants???) were super cordial & always asked if I was ok. The did their best to make sure I was comfortable when I was experiencing pain. (I even got a goodie bag for being such a great patient!)
Dr. Rao was super friendly and answered all the questions that I had in a way that I could understand.
The only gripe I had was about the wait time. I actually saw him about an hour after my actual appointment time, but I think they were dealing with a patient that needed extra care. The friendliness of both the staff & doctor makes it worthwhile.

To say I was impressed by Dr. Rao and his entire staff would be a huge understatement. Everyone I encountered there was beyond friendly and made me feel comfortable and at ease. I had gone in because of a severe tooth ache, but they immediately gave me the option of getting a cleaning done as well, which I was overdue for and which saved me an extra trip and was most appreciated. Dr. Rao is so personable and friendly and explained everything clearly. I cannot recommend this dentist more highly. And his office is literally steps from the L train, very convenient! Well done Dr. Rao and staff!
