More about Dr. Supriya Verma, DMD, FAGD

Welcome! I can help you keep your teeth in comfort, health and esthetics! Your first visit will include a detailed history, a full set of X-rays, photographs, and clinical exam. Please leave an hour and a half for a comprehensive exam. In the comprehensive exam I will not only check your teeth but I will also check the health of your jaw joint and muscles that support jaw function. Teeth can look straight from the outside but how they meet each other is just as important. Think of your jaw joint as a puzzle piece and your upper and lower teeth as another puzzle piece. When both puzzle pieces fit together then there is harmony between the teeth, Jaw joint, and muscles in between. If one of the puzzle pieces don't fit then it sets off the other. This can lead to premature wear on the teeth, pain in the jaw joint, or muscles. I can help identify and treat these issues. I look forward to meeting you. I work for you not the Insurance company because there is a lot in dentistry that is beyond insurance. We are happy to file a claim to your insurance so that you can get re-imbursed.

Dr Verma is definitely a top notch dentist in every way but she is expensive and does not accept insurance.
Dr. Verma is incredibly smart and at the cutting edge of dentistry. She can make a root canal something you almost look foward to. I can recoomend her without hesisitation.
Going to the dentist always fills me with anxiety. However when Dr. Supriya Verma walked into the room, her compassion, bright spirit and gentle touch allowed me to relax and feel safe. Dr. Verma is very professional and knowledgeable - hands down; it was very difficult finding a dentist I trust to work on my teeth, as I have had bad experiences, so I'm a very skeptical patient these days. I have always received excellent recommendations from Dr. Verma - she explains WHY I need something, WHAT is happening currently, and HOW it is affecting/will affect me...then she leaves it up to me to decide what I want to do. She is never pushy and always provides less costly alternatives, informing me of the pros and cons. I can't say enough about how appreciative I am of this. I like to think I have pretty good teeth, actually, however, my last visit to her was pertaining to my 2 front teeth that starting to chip a little bit and my bottom front teeth I've noticed are getting facets like sparkly diamonds...sharp to say the least! We discussed why that was happening (because of premature wear apparently - and I'm only 44, so I can only imagine what my teeth will look like in another 20 years - God help me - uugh) and she recommended a solution I can't afford currently (but may have to save for in the near future - Invisiline - my bite is not biting correctly causing the wear during the day and this would help correct it, not just protect it at night). Anyway, in the interim, she recommended I get a bite guard for the night (different from the one I currently have - this one was measured and adjusted so perfectly), I have been wearing it for 2 months and I have to say I am really impressed that it works the way she said it would. She has adjusted it so my jaw relaxes at night when I clench/grind and my entire resting bite is now different - I can feel that my front teeth are no longer sitting on my bottom teeth - my bite feels much more balanced. Anyway, enough....I could go on, but I don't think anyone wants to hear more about my teeth. I think she is very knowledgeable and precise about what she does and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND her. Her office is very convenient as well too - right near the Fulton Street, NY subway hub in NYC.
Dr. Supriya Verma is a wonderful doctor. I have had to deal with dental/periodontal issues since young age, Dr. Verma made is sure to educate me on my condition and the treatment. She also takes time to share cleaning tips to maintain oral hygiene. She is very knowledgeable and is up to date with the latest developments in dentistry. I would certainly recommend Dr. Verma to my friends and family.
Dr. Verma was very thorough in her initial consultation reviewing my dental history. Additionally, she explained every procedure and recommend steps for better dental health. I have been treated by dentists associated with the Pankey institute in the past, and Dr. Verma meets those high standards.
