She and her staff are really, very fantastic. It seems as if her dental assistant is early in her career and is still earning some things and it was great to see the mentor/mentee relationship between she and Dr. Abebe. Dr. Abebe was patient with my questions and gave me a through explanation of what to expect with my procedure. Her office manager thoroughly explained payments--what my insurance covers and what my out-of-pocket will be. I really enjoyed the experience and the location is very convenient.

I am not one to write negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience so that others will not go through the same experience that I did. I saw Dr Abebe for a standard cleaning in November 2013. At that time, she was in-network with MetLife, and thus contractually subject to their negotiated rate.
A few weeks after seeing her, Dr Abebe's office tried to charge me for the difference between their (much higher) rate and the negotiated rate. I called them, and calmly explained that they were no contractually allowed to do so, but they kept insisting. The invoices wouldn't stop coming, and they were threatening to send me to collections. Luckily, my insurance company, MetLife, stepped in and advocated on my behalf—explaining to the receptionist that what they were doing was completely illegal.
The invoices stopped for a while. Now, one year later, they are once again harrassing me about the money I "owe" them.
The treatment Dr. Abebe provide me in my dental cleaning was perfectly acceptable. However, I am horrified at how they are trying to take advantage of me as a consumer. The way they went about it was completely dishonest: They tried to trick me into thinking I owed it, hoping that I blindly pay. I worry that others not realize what I know as an informed health-care consumer, and may pay hundreds of dollars more than they actually owe.

Doctor was only person in the office. Was very pushy with $ and was pushing back against the recommendations made by my other dentist. On Top of that the office seemed to be an apartment with dental equipment.

A big disappointment. I will never visit or recommend Dr. Abebe. I had to involve the Medical Board to sort out the issue I had regarding my visit.

Friendly and attentive staff, and good service from the dentist herself (despite her pushing Invisalign on me, which I'm not interested in). I scheduled a regular six-month cleaning upon finishing my appointment, but the staff called me back the following day to make it a two-month, after the dentist reconsidered what happened during my cleaning (gum bleeding). That she thought about me after the appointment was over shows true care in her patients' oral health.

I did not have a good experience. She and her staff tried to sale me everything under the table and she billed my insurance company for services that wasn't performed.
The office is also shabby and looks very old. Do not do it! I am currently looking elsewhere for a dentist.

Unlike most dentists who try to convince you to get care you might not need, Dr. Abebe provided clear information and guidance so that I could make an informed decision. She and her office staff are conscious of the cost and care trade-offs and willing to work with you to identify the best next steps.

If I personally had to rate Dr.Abebe, off the charts. I was extremely satisfied with the customer service. She expressed to me her concerns an what needed to be done immediately action was taken. Dr.Abebe as well as her staff took care of me. I wouldn't go to any other dentist. Very patient with me which I really appreciated. I will be going back! Thank You
