More about Dr. Victoria Castens Hynes, DMD
Dr. Hynes graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Animal Science and minors in Nutrition and Global Health. Her diverse interests landed her in biopharmaceutical research and development after school. Concentrating on vaccine development, she spent hours in the lab. It soon became apparent to her that she craved a position in healthcare that involved direct patient interaction, so she applied to dental school while working and taking required classes at night.
Dr. Hynes completed her DMD training at Temple University’s Kornberg School of Dentistry. There, she served as Vice President of the local American Student Dental Association and as a Contributing Editor for the organization at a national level.
Dr. Hynes has completed additional training to be certified for Invisalign, implants, and oral conscious sedation. It is important to her to continue learning new techniques and technologies in order to facilitate healthy and beautiful smiles.
Dr. Hynes is still very much an animal person, sharing her home with two cats and a dog. She enjoys traveling with her husband, baking, reading, and trying new foods/restaurants.
