Being an Orthodontist allows me to continue to keep smiles all around. It is an amazing journey with each case to see the faces transform into spectacular smiles. I enjoy the the concerns and challenges each case brings to us. My treatment goals are focused to optimally position teeth to enhance the existing facial features, improve the smile esthetics by focusing on the lips and teeth relationship, and to gain a bite that is healthy and even for long term dental health.
Education Background: I received Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 1996 from King George Medical College in India. Soon after I moved to United States and attended the University of Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco and graduated in 1999 with honors with my Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). I practiced general dentistry for three years in the Bay Area and taught part time at the University of Pacific. Paid off some my tuition loans so that I could borrow some more funds to pursue my long term professional aspirations of being an Orthodontist. I attended the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania in 2002 and obtained my additional training certification in Orthodontics in 2005.
My Belief: I practice evidence based techniques. Before using a new product or technique I will try it on myself or a willing clinical team members to understand the product and procedure first hand. So far I have tried 8 different types of braces on myself. We take pride in providing our patients with the most state-of-art-techniques and equipment. I’m a perpetual student and teacher. I learn with each case as I reflect at the before and after( it is my hobby and one of the most joyful moments). I teach my clinical team member the art and science of Orthodontics to enhance their skill sets and empower them
