I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist who specializes in work with Adults, Children, & Adolescents. Following a comprehensive evaluation I work with you to develop a specifically tailored treatment plan that covers the best treatments for you (a specific therapy, medication, or both). In my work with children, I take a similar approach, and work closely with child & parents through a comprehensive but sensitive evaluation to identify any underlying problems to be remedied with treatment solutions. I utilize insight oriented/dynamic/exploratory therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), & in my work with children & families if indicated will incorporate behavioral techniques for parents whose children struggle with behavioral problems. If medication is indicated, we always discuss whether you feel comfortable with this option, & carefully review realistic expectations for what to expect.
Other therapies that I employ when indicated are Brief & Supportive Psychotherapies for all ages; Play therapy and Parenting & Behavioral coaching for children & families struggling with disruptive behavior disorders. I have experience working with a host of conditions, with life transitions, & relationship difficulties. I have trained at NYU, Columbia, & Cornell and am board Certified in both Adult and Child/Adolescent Psychiatry.
Office Hours: all day Mon & Wed
Fee: $250 (sliding scale applied for those with significant financial need)
Insurance accepted: None (however, will help you to obtain reimbursement)
