Hi there! I'm Aaron Weiner - licensed clinical psychologist, board-certified in counseling psychology, and specializing in the treatment of chemical (drugs or alcohol) or behavioral (e.g., gambling, pornography, sex, internet) addictions, as well as related mental health concerns (e.g., depression, anxiety, trauma). My primary theoretical approach is cognitive-behavioral, although I also integrate mindfulness, motivational, and dialectal (DBT) interventions.
I believe that with the right approach, we are all capable of growth, change, and finding peace and contentment in our lives. My role is to help guide you to the tools you need to meet your psychological and emotional goals, both through psychological skills and techniques and through coordinating as part of your larger healthcare team (primary care physician, psychiatrist, etc.). We'll collaborate throughout the process, discuss the effectiveness of our approach as we go, and make adjustments as needed. I'll make sure you feel supported and in control of your path forward.
Due to new legislation (PSYPACT), I am licensed to practice telehealth in the following states: Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshier, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
