Living as a queer person through the stress of life in 2024 ain't easy. When shame gets its claws in you, your thoughts spiral, and making any meaningful change feels impossible. As a bisexual therapist with a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University, a Master’s from Stanford University, and a Bachelor’s from Pace University, I get it. How do you take back control when powerful emotions overwhelm you? How do you show up in your relationships as your full, queer self? Yeah, finding fulfillment on your own terms sounds great—but where do you start? I'm bi-ased, but I think the first step is finding a queer psychologist you can trust. From a place of warmth, connection, and bad puns, we can dedicate our time to making meaningful change together.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Your queer identity is relevant context to your life. It doesn't have to be what we focus on in session. But it underscores the reason I started Full Focus Therapy: so that LGBTQ+ people get the robust, quality therapy we deserve. Warmhearted, evidence-based treatment makes real change possible.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

You need tools to handle your emotions and to sustain relationships. It takes skills to stay focused on what is actually important. The tools that work in my life come from DBT, a type of therapy I have the training and experience to deliver. DBT was not designed with queer people in mind; my job is to take the skills and make them work for LGBTQ+ people.
