More about Dr. Airian Thai, OD
Dr. Thai earned her bachelor degree in Psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles (Go Bruins!) before heading out to the East Coast to get her Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston. The four seasons were beautiful, but the numbing cold finally forced her back to sunny California. Here, she’s been in practice for over 9 years with special interest in ocular diseases. During her rotations through the Veterans Affair hospital, she’s discovered that Veterans hold a special place in her heart. She would love to give back to those who have given so much to this country. On top of Ocular diseases, Dr. Thai has experiences with refractive surgery, hard and soft contact lens evaluations and cataracts surgery co-management, as well as, pediatric exams and general eye exams. Regardless of the type of eye exams, kudos point for patients who bring in the best joke.
During her spare time, Dr. Thai enjoys artistic endeavors from jewelry-making, sketching, millinery to dancing. She’s attempted the East Coast Swing and is now in the throes of Flamenco. But whether watching Musicals or hang-gliding, she wants to try it all. If she ever wins the lottery, she hopes to travel more to gain wisdom that different culture around the world provides.
