Dr. Graves is originally from New Orleans where he graduated with a Master’s of Science degree in Biology from the University of New Orleans in 1982. He went on to receive his medical degree from Louisiana State University in 1986.
After completing his Orthopedic Surgery residency at Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, he moved to Largo, Florida where he has been engaged in the active practice of Orthopedic Surgery since 1993. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Dr. Graves has extensive experience in adult reconstruction and total joint replacement surgery including hip, knee, and shoulder procedures. He has specialized training in Minimally Invasive Surgical (MIS) procedures for total hip and knee replacements, and was one of the first surgeons in the Tampa Bay area to perform this surgery. Dr. Graves also provides treatment for neck and back injuries, as well as a wide variety of treatments for injuries resulting from motor vehicle accidents.

By far the cleanest up to date facility. The staff are fun and courteous. I will never go anywhere else..they are stuck with me and now my family for Life! No in out dr, no pushing for procedures, just tells it like it is! Finally a Dr that knows how to treat the patient and the injury!

Short wait but we'll worth it. Dr Graves was very professional, spent time listening, then conducted a through exam. He explained what he was doing and what he found as he went alnog. Very happy I found him and definitely recommend.

Dr. Graves gives a thorough exam, gives his opinion of what he thinks the problem is and what tests are needed to confirm the diagnosis or detect the cause of the patient concern. The x-ray department is friendly, efficient and you are back in the exam room in no time and Dr. Graves is back in there to go over the x-rays with you pointing out areas of concern or how the x-ray looks normal. You are given an option of treatments and if needed, he refers you for further testing or therapy. Dr. Graves is open and very matter of fact regarding the diagnosis and treatment. The office staff is friendly, efficient and helpful. The environment is quiet and if your problem turns out to be better handled by someone else, there are other specialists in the practice.

I never bother to leave feedback on anything but my experience with Dr. Graves was so great I felt I had to let others know. I arrived fifteen minutes before my scheduled appointment and was called in to see the doctor right at the scheduled time. The doctor took his time and listened to what I had to say. After a quick x-ray he was back going over the results 5 minutes later. I was in and out within thirty minutes and the procedure solved the issue I was having. I also must say that his staff was excellent and friendly. I could not have had a better experience. You are in great hands with Dr. Graves!

He was very good and was able to tell what was wrong with my knee right away. Before the MRI, I had to have fluid removed from my joint. It was very painful, to say the least, but he was very comforting and understanding of the pain to do the procedure quickly.

Dr. Graves performed a hip replacement on me 5 years ago. I was having some pain in my right knee and wanted his expert advice on the cause. I would not trust any orthopedic problems with anyone but Dr. Graves.

It was great. Dr Graves very professional, well versed with excellent people skills.. Staff pleasant, polite and efficient. You don't see that very much these days. It was a pleasant experience.
