Based on the amount of tests performed on my first and only visit for the next 6 months, I was expecting a difficult diagnose to cope with. For my surprise the Dr prescribed me progressive glasses, he denied any diagnose other than a “ normal catarata” based on the age.

Dr. Mendelsohn specializes in five-minute laser cataract surgery. Femtosecond laser cataract surgery is highly reproducible, more accurate, and far safer than older techniques of cataract surgery with a scalpel. The laser offers excellent precision in making gentle, ultraprecise incisions in the lens and cornea, thereby producing better visual outcomes in current cataract surgery. Furthermore, patients with low or moderate levels of astigmatism can have this astigmatism eliminated or greatly reduced at the same time as the cataract procedure, resulting in a markedly enhanced quality of vision and overall outcome.
No matter which option is best for you, cataract surgery is virtually pain free, and the actual lens implant can be completed in minutes. In fact, most patients are back to their normal activities the very next day.

Dr. Mendelsohn and his team are top professionals. Everything about the experience, scheduling, arriving, hand-offs between staff and conclusion is done smoothly and effectively. Dr. Mendelsohn himself took all the time I needed, explained the tests and results in details and addressed all my questions. Along the way, it was clear that I am not a number in the system and Dr. Mendelsohn’s practice understands and treats the way one wants to be treated. Simply the best experience.

Dr Alan is a terrific eye doctor in addition to being a wonderful person. My family and I have been seeing Dr. Alan as our ophthalmologist for many years, and each time we return to the office we are again reminded that 'this is the way all doctors should be.' He does a very thorough examination, then answers all our questions completely. We never feel rushed. Whether a minor problem, glasses consultation or more serious eye disease, Dr Alan Mendelsohn and his staff have always performed at 100% to meet our needs. I recommend him wholeheartedly!

As a physician, I can tell you that Dr. Mendelsohn is a doctor’s doctor. The office runs smoothly, the techs are knowledgeable and friendly. Dr. Mendelsohn is thorough, friendly and very conservative which is a great surgical quality. He explains everything so it’s unlikely you will leave the office and realized you forgot to ask your pertinent questions. Overall, a great experience. Have been a patient of the practice for the last 25 years. “

The moment I walked in the door I was greeted by smiling faces! Elizabeth made it really easy to check in and out and was very friendly. I was taken to the back by Ivania and she did many tests on me to make sure my eyes were healthy. After extensive tests, Dr. Mendelsohn came in and thoroughly explained everything that was going on with my eyes. He was really reassuring and explained everything to me. The whole trip was very delightful and I felt like I was in good hands. Thanks to the staff I know that my eyes are healthy and are being taken care of properly.

The whole process was super smooth and easy! I called the office and got a same-day appointment. I was take right away and saw Dr. Mendelsohn, who was really nice and took the time to listen to my concerns and explained everything. I’ll definitely be going back for any more eye problems!

Got an appointment right away. When I arrived I was taken right away. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. State of the art equipment. It was a very pleasant experience as far as Dr visits go. They made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions. I highly recommend this office.

Dr. Alan Mendelsohn is a tremendous asset to ophthalmic medicine. Very passionate about what he does. Always confident and well prepared in his profession. I have been privileged to follow him as a student and lucky enough to be his patient as well. All his patients are treated equally, as if they were his relatives. Dr Alan Mendelsohn is surrounded by a well-prepared staff and his office has the latest in ophthalmic technology.

Dr. Alan Mendelsohn is the BEST experienced expert all Corneal and External Eye diseases . I am so blessed to have found him when I needed cataract surgery. I have consistently had a very positive experience with all the staff at Eye Surgeons and Consultants and especially with Dr. Alan Mendelsohn. I am a physician myself and I can tell you Dr. Mendelsohn is exactly what you want in a doctor. He is extremely capable and knowledgeable but he is also very kind and caring. He is an excellent listener, has plenty of patience and gives clear explanations. He and his staff are the kind of skilled and compassionate professionals you will want to see.

Even after moving out of town, I still return to get my eyes taken care of by Dr. Mendelsohn and his team. Dr. M is great, and the whole team is so nice. Fast check-in, they don't make you wait, and wonderful treatment by the whole team. Whether for a scheduled checkup or emergency, couldn't recommend Dr. Mendelsohn highly enough.

Dr. Mendelsohn's office is a great place to be a patient, as you are well treated from start to finish. My experiences there over the years have been quite satisfying. All staff members working with the doctor are very professional and efficient. The doctor is top-notch in treating and explaining all varieties of eye problems. I highly recommend Dr. Alan Mendelsohn as an ophthalmologist.

Dr. Alan Mendelsohn has been my ophthalmologist for twenty years and he is an extremely thoughtful, knowledgeable, and thorough doctor. Even though I have very sensitive eyes , Dr. Mendelsohn never causes any discomfort during my exams. I only trust my eyes to Dr. Mendelsohn and I would highly recommend him!

Doctor Mendelsohn and his associates have been my 'go to' eye doctors for over 20 years. He and his office staff are efficient, very professional, and patient - especially with elderly patients. There is very little wait time - if any - for an appointment; patients are seen at their appointment time, or within 5 minutes at most. Doctors and staff spend time with patients and explain everything in layman's/laywoman's terms so easy to understand. Takes the time to answer questions and makes sure instructions are understood by the patient. Office complies with all COVID protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff. I highly recommend this practice .

Any time I am at dr Mendelsohn’s office I am treated by all the staff with the utmost respect. Wait time is minimal. All staff behave in a professional manner
Dr Mendelsohn is amazing. Whenever I have a problem he always fits me in and sees me immediately
I recently had cataract surgery performed by dr Mendelsohn. My vision after the surgery improved from 20/60 to better than20/20. He reassured me before the procedure and throughout. I went back the very next day for a follow up
