I'll be glad to assist you in understanding this process.* If you are unable to keep your appointment, please give me at least 24 hours notice, otherwise you are responsible for the full fee. When you book an appointment please enter your insurance ID. Appointments are NOT confirmed until we have spoken. Please return my call or email within 24 hours, otherwise I will cancel the appointment and make that time available for another patient.
I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist and have been in practice for over thirty years. My preferred method of therapy is one that is collaborative in nature. Our overall goal would include helping you to help yourself by developing a deeper understanding of your behaviors, actions and feelings. My unique collaborative method is most successful with patients who want to get well and live happy and productive lives. The key to comprehending and solving your problems is to be found in your uniqueness. We are all special and our individuality must be respected.
My office is a safe and warm environment which can only contribute to these goals. I am skilled at integrating medication when it is indicated and helpful in attenuating symptoms, which not only may interfere with daily functioning, but also allow greater strides in reaching your goals.
I choose to work with those who want to improve, get better and thrive. And I will help you, by using the approach that I believe is indicated, whether psychodynamic, supportive, cognitive, behavioral, psychopharmacological or a combination thereof to live a better today and an even more rewarding tomorrow.

Dr. Pear is really a gem. I have PTSD and anxiety. My problems were compounded by family and friends' stigma towards mental health and my decision to get treatment. Dr. Pearl immediately made me feel comfortable, not only in his presence, but in my decision to seek help. He has a genius with pain that is hard to describe. His ability to listen and express empathy is what stands out. He is professional, caring and extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend Dr. Pearl.

I was a half hour early and he came to take me anyway. He was so kind, professional, and very knowledgeable. He listened to my concerns and actually troubleshooted medication related issues while I was there with the pharmacy and insurance company. I felt much better about everything when I left and would highly recommend this provider to anyone.
