Alex completely healed an old shoulder injury, as well as chronic headaches and jaw pain within a few sessions. He creates an open and comfortable environment in his office and his knowledge of Chinese medicine and healing techniques are remarkable.

Alex Batkin is a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac) in the state of New York, board-certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). He frequently works with people who have digestive concerns, autoimmune conditions, chronic pain, anxiety and depression.
As well, he is an expert in myofascial release and trigger point therapy, and uses these skills to improve performance in competitive athletes and to treat acute and chronic injuries and orthopedic conditions. He has helped people both avoid and recover from major surgeries.
Alex has studied Chinese medical massage (Tui Na) and bone-setting (Zheng Gu), as well as Chinese-based sports medicine, and completed apprenticeships with some of the most skilled practitioners in these areas.
As a graduate of the Tri-State College of Acupuncture, Alex focused on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Kiiko Matsumoto style, and Acupuncture Physical Medicine, based on the research of Dr. Janet Travell and Dr. Mark Seem, who developed the use of acupuncture in addressing trigger points.
Alex has a black belt in Tang Soo Do Mu Duk Kwan. He continues to practice martial arts and train in boxing.

Alex is hugely knowledgeable, warm, and extremely professional. He’s been very effective in helping me with issues ranging from pain to stress to sleep and unlike other acupuncturists I’ve seen, he takes the mystery out of the process and helps me clearly understand the methodology and what to expect physiologically. I highly recommend a visit if you’re seeking a more holistic approach to managing your health and well being.

He's great if you're suffering muscle aches or pains, but equally adept at treating anxiety, depression, and other mental health disorders. I have been seeing Alex weekly/bi-weekly for nearly a year. His practice/methods enabling me to avoid further damaging my body and move towards recovery at a rapid pace. He is extremely well versed in Chinese medicine, acupuncture, bone setting, and nutrition.
The office is very clean and Alex is always ready to get started right when I arrive. Booking with him is extremely simple and the check in/check out process is seamless.
