Dr. Kopp has extensive training and experience in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He was trained at the exceptional Harvard Medical School associated hospitals in Boston, Brigham and Women's Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He has earned his MD at the University Of Zurich Medical School in Switzerland. Since 2000 Dr. Kopp has led a successful Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine private practice at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. Our gastroenterology procedures are performed at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, one of the town's best state-of the-art facilities.
In addition to our Internal Medicine practice, Dr. Kopp's Gastroenterology specialty includes diagnostic and therapeutic Colonoscopy, Screening for Colon Cancer, diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopy, Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease and Barrett’s Esophagus evaluation, Small Bowel Capsule Endoscopy, and Hemorrhoidal Band Ligation. Many of our patients have Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Colon Cancer, Pancreas Cancer, Esophagus Cancer, Celiac Disease, Hemorrhoids, Acid Reflux, Swallowing Difficulties, Peptic Ulcer Disease, and a wide spectrum of Liver Disease.

LAWNA WIGLE is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed training as a Registered Nurse in Nova Scotia, Canada, then worked for over 10 years in various areas of specialty including urology, vascular surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, burns, trauma, and also as a liver transplant coordinator. She continued her studies in 2008, at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill graduating in 2010 as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
