Dr. Alfredo Romero is a graduate of University of Guayaquil School of Medicine where he obtained his M.D degree and received the Magna Cum Lauded Graduate Award. He continued his post-degree medical training in USA; first, he did his internship at Temple University Hospital, then his PM&R Residency at University of Chicago and finally completed his training with a Fellowship in Pain Management at University Hospitals of Cleveland.
Dr. Romero has 12 years of experience treating patients with chronic pain with special interest in patients with back pain; his philosophy is to treat each patient with respect, compassion and using a multidisciplinary approach including physical therapy, pharmacologic management and wide variety of interventional procedures. He has worked as an Attending physician in Pain Clinics in USA as well as in the VA hospital in his country.
Dr. Romero is Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and in Pain Management and member of American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. He is fluent in English and Spanish and enjoy his free time with his wife and daughter.
