I am a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a deep commitment to providing holistic, patient-centered care. My academic journey began at Brown University, where she majored in Human Biology: Brain and Behavior, igniting her fascination with the intricate connection between the mind and body. I would go on to teach elementary and middle school for nearly 10 years. Driven by a desire to make an even greater impact in healthcare, I transitioned into nursing and pursued a Bachelor’s in Nursing and a Master’s Degree to become a Family Nurse Practitioner from Emory University. I began my career as a FNP in a rural community, where I quickly recognized the pressing need for mental health resources. Witnessing the challenges faced by individuals seeking care, I was inspired to further my education and obtained a certification in psychiatric mental health from Southeastern Louisiana University. This additional training allows me to provide comprehensive care, addressing both physical and mental health concerns with a deep understanding of their intersection.

With a unique blend of experience in both education and healthcare, I am passionate about empowering individuals to take charge of their well-being and achieve their personal health goals.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I believe great psychiatric care starts with really listening to you.
In our first appointment, we'll spend time understanding what's going on, not just your symptoms, but how they're affecting your life. I'll ask about your history, what you've tried before, and what your goals are.
Together, we'll create a treatment plan that makes sense for YOU. This might include medication, therapy recommendations, or lifestyle changes. I'll explain all your options and we'll decide together what feels right.
Follow-up visits are where we fine-tune things. We'll track what's working, adjust what isn't, and make sure you're moving toward feeling better.
I'm big on education - I want you to understand why I'm recommending what I'm recommending. No medical jargon, just clear explanations. And I always make time for your questions.
