She is knowledgeable and relatable (even to a 15 year old boy) and quick to respond to email or concerns regarding his treatment. She always makes you feel like you are her only patient of the day! Dr. Alison Larson is a double boarded child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist. Dr. Larson attended medical school in New Jersey at the Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine. She then went on to complete her residency in general psychiatry at Temple University in Philadelphia where she was an advocate and member of the performance improvement and safety committee. Following her residency, she moved to Florida where she completed her child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the University of Florida. While there, Dr. Larson enjoyed giving lectures, teaching, and advocating for patients. She was subsequently selected as Chief of her class.
Dr. Larson enjoys working with a variety of patient populations including children, adolescents, and adults. She treats a wide variety of diagnoses and has worked in specialized clinics for patients with OCD, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Dr. Larson excels well beyond her formal training. She combines her extensive psychiatric knowledge with her sincere patient centered approach. Going above and beyond is innately within her ideology when it comes to her patients and their treatment needs.
