Dr. Steigman is a New York State Licensed Psychologist educated at the University of Pennsylvania (B.A.) and Yeshiva University (M.A. and Psy.D.). She treats a varied clientele in a private practice setting and splits her time between offices in Gramercy Park, Manhattan and Kew Gardens, Queens.
Dr. Steigman is an eclectic therapist who uses many modalities, both traditional and non-traditional, to treat her patients for a wide range of issues, such as depression, anxiety, phobias, couples counseling, and stress management. Her methods tend to work faster than traditional talk therapy, as she integrates highly practical exercises such as meditation, visualizations, and relaxation exercises (to name only a few) with traditional modalities like empathic listening and cognitive-behavioral therapy. Dr. Steigman also teaches communication skills that tend to improve the quality of her clients’ relationships, thereby improving their quality of life!
Dr. Steigman has 2 office locations, one in Manhattan in the Gramercy Park area and the other in Kew Gardens (near Forest Hills) in Queens.
