My first time seeing Dr. alvarez dodn't know what to expect if he would understand me or be like some doctors that just want the day over collect & bye... Dr. Alvarez was caring, supportive & understood how I felt... He's straight forward very informative with the patients health & explains detail by detail with procedures... I would recommend him to anyone... The ladies in his office are very polite professional & a very clean office...

They say a sorry and squeeze in all the walkins irrespective of whether u have an appointment or not.i wont recommend bcoz of not being professio al and not my doctor as well.They say a sorry for making you wait.Even manager also not professional and didnt meet me when i asked for her.they also charge your credit card and hold your DL for their safety measure.Even the appointments they give is also not honoured.Sorry to write but i really got annoyed.I heard couple of other patients also had the same opinion.i visited them because they take aetna insurance and well reviewed in zocdoc.

Dr. Alvarez is an absolutely fantastic doctor - as are his nursing staff. Though, the front receptionist - particularly the snide and crude woman wearing glasses - should be let go immediately. She is a horror that brings down this office - rude, impatient, and did I mention extremely rude? 5 stars for the doctor staff - 0 stars for the person making sure my insurance is valid. Get new front desk staff and this place is a 100/100.

Very nice person. Would recommend to anyone in need of a urologist. I read many views on office staff not helpful or rude,, Very much on the contrary. Filled out forms, returned and was given timely view to doctor and health staff taking vitals and info. Was booked for future 6 month follow up visit. Had no problems and was very courteous trip to see my new urologist. I was worried over having a hassle,, but not even close to any type of problem. I think others have problem with their insurance and pass the problems on to the staff. and had no problems using my Medicare B and supplement F.

I was happy to be able to schedule an appt within a week.
Office was nice and clean, but very crowded. At times, there was not enough seats in waiting room for patients. I did not receive any reminder call for appt time. I felt a little unwelcome by front desk staff and I was advised the information provided online was not received.
The worst part of the visit though was having to provide a specimen. I was given a dixie cup with no lid and my name written on in marker. This is bad enough, but I was told to place in lab window in restroom, although window was only about 12 inches wide, there were already 3 specimens waiting there to be picked up. It was totally disgusting! I could have easily contaminated them all!!

ZocDoc is not transferring the paperwork to their office. I had to redo all the paperwork when I got there. The front desk is very nice but said zocdoc has not fixed the issue.

His office and staff were horrible. There was no clear communication and to advertise me that they could not bill my deductible when I know for a fact from working with medicare customers that can be billed was outrageous. ... wasted my whole day off for nonsense with those untrained idiots

I think he is a terrific doctor but the wait was very long that day (in spite of having an appointment). I will cut him a little slack as the office was crowded that day. On my next visit, my wait time was significantly reduced.

Dr. Alvarez is a very good doctor. I typically don't recommend doctors since they're typically average at best, but Dr. Alvarez stands out. The only problem I have is the wait is long:(

Dr was seriously overbooked resulting in several people standing. We had a wait of over an hour. I expect to be seen within 15 min of my appt time-or why make appts. I had done booking and "all new PT paperwork" online to make my visit quicker but it didn't happen-still had more to do. After getting into tx room it was quicker but my resident was left sitting in there after being seen until I went looking for her

Very efficient office, Doctor is very understanding, and listens to what your problem is. I was seen immediately when I arrived. And also scheduled for surgery right away. And the best part is that the doctor himself called me back and calmed me down! It is rare today to find doctors that call their patients back Dr. Alvarez dose.
