Since 1983, Dr. Liceaga has lived and learned the art of medicine. He has gained experience in what it takes to provide the patient with the best possible medical care. His accomplishments include graduating from the prestigious Rush Medical College in Chicago, the completion of a Residency in Anesthesiology and a Fellowship Pain Management care. After achieving Board Certification in both Anesthesiology and Pain Management, he has worked to grow his very successful practices in Los Angeles, Orange and Fresno Counties.
He is founder of the Regional Pain Treatment Medical Center, a full service Interventional Pain Management Practice that includes Pain Management, Chiropractic, Pain Psychology and Acupuncture.
He subsequently founded and is the Medical Director of Alliance Surgery Center in Los Angeles County CA and Orangewood Surgical Center in Orange County CA.

I like Dr. Liceaga but am at a loss to explain what happened to myself and others. Dr. Liceaga went out of State on vacation and the assistants set my appointment 4 days after my prescription refills. I am out of town the week after his vacation and was told that there is nothing they can do. They made a mistake and scheduled my appointment wrong and while Dr Liceaga is out of town there is NOBODY they refer patience to and no ability to refill a prescription. This is not only very dangerous for patience but just poor medical practice. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with an assistant and was left to go find another doctor because they could do nothing to help their patient as a result of their mistake. I have never heard of a doctor leaving his patience with no backup or ability to solve patient problems.

I am beyond impressed with Dr. Liceaga. Its been a struggle to find a doctor who takes the time to understand my pain, not only to treat but to make sure there is progress with the treatment.

I was having my vitals taken at the exact time of my scheduled appointment. All of my issues for the day were taken care of-- medical and civil. The Federal government's limitations on my treatment were explained. I am confident that the doctor is doing all he legal can for me.

We had a 1:00pm appointment and after traveling from Irvine we had difficulty locating the address. Repeated calls to the office resulted in only a recording and no live body to aid in directions. Upon arrival we wanted over 30 min. prior to being seen. At that point, however, everything moved along very professionally. The check-in was highly technical... EMR ( electronic medical records ) and all V/S equipment was up to date and cleaned after of use. The staff were neat and professional in manner. The doctors were knowledgeable and utilized computerized viewing of the MRI cd we had provided. My husband is a MD and I'm a RN. We would both recommend this Dr. Liceaga.

I was concerned, due to the nature of my problem and not having seen a doctor for it for many years.
I had called a few places that sounded like they were just farming Rx and their receptionist were only worried that I was aware how much every thing would cost, even procedures that I didn't need.
I came to ZooDoc, saw Dr. Liceaga's reviews and decided to give him a try. The front office is very relaxed but professional. They handled all my general questions immediately.
My treatment with Dr. Liceaga has been nothing less than stellar. They were able to identify what possibly may be the problem and then have it confirmed with an MRI at a facility that did a discount for me on their recommendation.
And I did need an MRI, the problem I thought I had before, diagnosed from xrays, was not any thing close to the problem I have now that was detected clearly with the MRI. Going over the MRI, all my questions were answered and it was then that I learned that some symptoms I had that I had thought not associated with this problem, actually were.
We started a treatment program and eventually, unfortunately, I will need surgery. But for now, the treatment I am receiving allows me to live a normal life again without pain and without the fatigue I was feeling.
I am very grateful for these doctors and the speed and accuracy in which they helped me.
I would highly recommend them to any one.

Dr. Liceaga took the time to find out about my pain so that he could treat me personally. The staff were courteous and helpful! I truly felt that I was respected as a patient and that they wanted to help relieve my pain! Thanks to Dr. Al, I can continue to work and go about my life as normal. My pain no longer controls me. I control my pain.
