Amanda McElheney is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who joins our practice with a background in both Primary Care and Orthopedic medicine. She earned her Bachelors and Masters of Science in Nursing from Valdosta State University, graduating with honors, and is an active member of The American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Ms. McElheney began her medical career at South Georgia Medical Center, training first as an Operating Room Nurse and then transitioning into the center’s highly specialized role of Orthopedic Coordinator. Acting as a dedicated liaison between orthopedic surgeons and staff, Ms. McElheney gained extensive experience in all aspects of outpatient orthopedic operations and post-operative care. In 2017, she joined the Northwest Georgia Orthopedic Surgery Center, practicing as a specialized orthopedic surgery nurse. We are delighted to have her join us in our Rome and Calhoun locations.
