About Dr. Rickey Patel
I am Dr. Rickey Patel, a board certified Family Medicine physician in Kennesaw, Georgia, and I believe great primary care begins with getting to know the person.
Growing up in Valdosta in South Georgia, I developed an appreciation for community, personal relationships, and caring for others—values that continue to shape the way I practice medicine today. I attended the University of Georgia in Athens, GA before earning my medical degree from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine in Antigua & Barbuda. I then returned home to complete my Family Medicine residency at Georgia South in Moultrie, GA.
I enjoy caring for patients with a wide range of healthcare needs, with particular interests in preventive medicine, acute and chronic conditions, mental health/ADHD, weight management, men’s health, and minor in-office procedures. I believe in listening to my patients, understanding their individual goals, and working together to make healthcare practical and approachable.
When I am not in the office, I enjoy spending time with family, experimenting in the kitchen or on the grill, running, hiking, traveling, and following college football, especially the Georgia Bulldogs.
**Self-pay patients are welcome:** $200 for a new patient visit, $150 for an established patient visit, and $125 for virtual visits for both new and established patients..

Kennesaw Primary Care exceeded my expectations. The doctors & staff were attentive, took time to actually listen to me & my concerns, & explained everything clearly without rushing. There was a short wait & I felt genuinely cared for. I very much recommend to anyone looking for a new doctor!!!
