Dr. Amir Dastgah was fantastic! He took as much time as I needed to answer all of my questions, explained things thoroughly, was clear about pros/cons of each treatment option, and gave me clear instructions as to how I needed to continue my care once I left his office. Plus, he has the best, most personable bedside manner of any physician I've seen! This guy is truly fantastic!

Dr. Dastgah received his undergraduate degree from University of The Pacific in Stockton, California. He attended San Francisco State University where he completed a post baccalaureate in Biochemistry and Neuroscience. Dr. Dastgah earned his medical degree from California School of Podiatric Medicine and went on to complete four years of intense surgical training by some of the top doctors in the country.
Dr. Dastgah’s training began at Staten Island University Hospital,the fifth largest hospital in New York City,and the largest limb salvage center throughout the five boroughs. Under the supervision of leading foot and ankle orthopedic, podiatric and reconstructive plastic surgeons,he developed an understanding of a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care. Being at a level-1 trauma center,and state of the art wound care center, provided him with a high volume inpatient and outpatient management experience. During this time Dr. Dastgah was chief resident among his peers.His fourth and final year of surgical training Dr. Dastgah attended Beth Israel Medical Center/Einstein School of Medicine in the heart of Manhattan, where he was again honored with the title of chief resident. Here he was able to further hone his surgical skills in correction of various foot and ankle deformities.His diverse four year surgical residency training, which less than five percent of all podiatrists have,provided him the opportunity to be exposed not only to all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, but all facets of medicine. Dr. Dastgah specializes in Podiatric Medicine and Adult Reconstructive Foot and Ankle surgery. He has published medical journals and presented at national conventions on topics of foot and ankle surgery.

Earlier this week, I went to see Dr. Dastgah for a severe ankle pain. I was unable to walk on my right foot. He was able to diagnose the problem and started the treatment process right away. In just two days I am happily walking again and have very little pain. Thanks Dr. Dastgah!

He was/is super amazing! He makes you feel comfortable right away and he is very fun to talk to. He is currently treating me for plantar warts and he is so kind! He explains everything he is doing as he treats you so you understand what he is doing and why it is necessary. He also discusses good preventative measures for the future. He discussed all possible treatments with me beforehand and let me decide how I wanted to proceed but still made suggestions on what would be easiest/best based on my daily activity (I walk a lot around campus and work). He also speaks German which I am currently taking in school so during appointments he will sometimes speak with me in German which is great and helps me practice! Everyone in the office is very friendly and accommodating. Naturally I don't wish to have future foot problems, but if I do, I'll definitely come back!

I’ve seen Dr. Dastgah twice for my ankle pain. He’s the third doctor I’ve seen, but he's explained my condition better. His office has a state of the art equipment. He is definitely highly trained and qualified.

Dr. Dastgah is very professional and knowledgeable. I had been suffering from this burning feeling on my foot for a couple of months. He explained everything to me. He gave me a treatment plan and wanted to know my thoughts of it. I will definitely be refering friends and family to him.
