If you are making an appointment for allergy testing, please discontinue all antihistamines 3 days prior to your appointment. This includes: Benadryl (diphenhydramine), Claritin (loratadine), Allegra (fexofenadine), Zyrtec (cetirizine), Astelin (azelastine), Patanase (olopatadine), along with all prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) allergy eye drops. Cold and cough medications may have antihistamines in them and should also be stopped 3 days before an allergy testing appointment.
If you are taking a beta blocker you may continue your antihistamines, as you will likely be sent to the lab for a blood test.
Please bring your insurance card and photo ID with you to your appointment.

Dr. Kumar was so nice and easy to talk to about my daughter's allergies and asthma, it's no wonder he is so highly recommended for children with allergies! All of the staff was incredibly friendly as well. My daughter was clearly nervous, and they all tried to make her feel better. We certainly will be continuing to see Dr. Kumar for our daughter's care and recommend him and his office to anyone looking for an allergist!
