What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider?
I have had a calling since a young age to help others and make a difference in the world by decreasing suffering. I find it most exciting to educate and empower people to build their own tools to improve their health and happiness.
In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
As a primary care provider, I provide patient centered care instead of disease focused care. I meet patients where they currently are (physically, mentally, socially) before I educate them about health prevention and/or illness/disease treatment plans. It is my role to coach patients to make small long lasting changes instead of simply telling them what yo do.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy spending time with family and friends and enjoy hosting dinners. I love to travel and eat new foods and exercise is very important to me with weight lifting and hiking being my favorites.
