Hello and welcome! I was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., but consider myself a local since I spent the majority of my childhood in Athens, GA. It was during my high school years there that I became interested in medicine and spent the next 14 years of my life training all over the country in amazing cities like Boston, Detroit, Denver, and Portland, Oregon.?
Despite my love of travel, I always knew I wanted to come back to the Southeast and so, in 2009, I came full circle and returned to Atlanta. Since returning, I have acquired valuable clinical and surgical experience with a highly regarded local group practice and most recently, a national healthcare organization.

In 2016, I decided to launch Eye Associates of North Atlanta, LLC, dedicated to providing the highest quality eye care for all of my patients. I am especially passionate about ophthalmology because it is a patientÂ-focused field where I can interact with those of all ages on a daily basis, and at the same time, apply my technical skills by performing microsurgery to improve vision. Nothing is more rewarding than restoring the sense of sight!
I also treat the full range of eye conditions and diseases and am very proficient in performing cataract surgery. Philosophically, I approach patient care from your perspective and will treat you the same way that I would want my family to be treated. In this way, I am committed to making sure that every aspect of your visit is pleasant and that all of your questions are answered by either myself or my staff.

Dr. Shah paid a lot of attention to history and events that led us to come to him for diagnosis and treatment recommendations. Examination was thorough, very clear explanation and Dr. Shah took the time to answer many of our questions, which was very reassuring. Personable, professional, highly recommended.

I rarely post online reviews, however, in this case I made an exception because I was highly impressed by the care Dr. Anand Shah gave me.
I was at Johns Creek ER on 3/22 due to accident re my RT contact lens,
diagnosed with sub-conjunctival hemorrhage and advised to see
eye doctor within 24 hrs. I'm so grateful ER doctor recommended Dr. Shah! He was able to see me that day, the front office was professional,
and Dr. Shah was very thorough in examining my eyes, etc. He took his time (rare these days for doctors!) and was patient in explaining my condition and treatment. He is certainly one of the best doctors I've had, and I've been recommending him to friends and even to my other doctors as well!

My wife was the first member of our family to be treated by Dr. Shah. We were very pleased with the pleasant atmosphere, professional manner and overall ability of Dr. Shah and his assistant. So much so that I became his next patient from our family, followed closely by our daughter. She has plans to have our grandchildren see him, too, whenever they have a need. It is refreshing to be treated like a valued patient for a change rather than to be treated like a product on a production line.

Dr. Shah did a comprehensive and thorough examination of my eyes. He explained each step of the multi-step process. At the conclusion of the examination, he presented his findings and we discussed my options. He didn't "push" toward any services or treatment that would benefit him. He allowed me to make a "next step" decision based on my understanding of his findings and understanding my options. I definitely recommend Dr. Shah to everyone who needs an exam by a competent and experienced Ophthalmologist.
