About Dr. Samia Idris
Dr. Samia Idris is an Optometrist proud to serve Alpharetta and Greater Atlanta. She treats patients of all ages who are dealing with eyesight problems, diseases, and eye pain.
As a builder of long-term relationships, Dr. Idris prides herself on being friendly and accommodating, making her patients feel completely at ease. She loves working directly with patients and truly enjoys seeing their lives transformed through better vision.
Dr. Idris earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama, Birmingham, where she began her career in medicine. She is a member of several professional associations, including the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association, and is fluent in Amharic. Originally, she chose medicine because she enjoyed working with equipment during her Mechanical Engineering major but found herself drawn to interactive, face-to-face work with people.
Dr. Idris lives in John's Creek, where she practices medicine in her local community and spends time with her husband and three children. A true outdoor enthusiast, she loves scuba diving, hiking, traveling, and photography. She sees patients for a wide range of conditions, from allergies and infections to glaucoma and cataracts.
