Dr. Dott has dedicated his professional career to helping women with their medical needs and helping families have healthy moms and healthy babies. Because of his personalized style of practice, he was voted one of the "Best in Atlanta 2015” Ob-Gyns on Kudzu.com. He is a graduate of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University in New York City. He completed his advanced training at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington and Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He holds a Masters in Public Health degree from Tulane University with a sub-specialization in Maternal and Child Health, Population Studies, and Family Planning. He has delivered more than 5000 babies and has performed thousands of gynecological surgeries. He loves sharing with families the excitement and joy of pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. He is a solo practitioner so his patients have the benefit of a one-to-one personalized relationship. His special interests include the management of complex menopause related disorders, advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, gynecological and obstetrical ultrasound, and the development of innovative paradigms for medical care applying the latest technological breakthroughs.
He is the recipient of the award for outstanding teacher of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Georgia Baptist Hospital. He is a published author in The American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has written the Forward to a textbook on the American Health Care Delivery System. He is a guest editor of Atlanta Medicine, the Journal of the Medical Association of Atlanta, and has edited issues on Male Menopause, the Centers for Disease Control, and Advances in Gynecology. He has conducted seminars in advanced endoscopic surgery, urogynecology, family planning, and menopause management at the University of St. Petersburg and Kazan State University, Russia. He is on the Board of Directors of The Georgia Ob-Gyn Society.

The nurses and doctor were all lovely, kind and inviting. It was my first visit so I was a little nervous but they were comforting and made me (and my husband) feel very welcome and at ease. I scheduled an early appointment (8:45AM) so I could get in, get out, and get to work. Even though I filled out my information on ZocDoc, I still had to fill out paperwork when I arrived. The receptionist insisted on using my drivers license as my photo ID even though I provided a different photo ID. I did not get pulled back until about 15 minutes after my appointment time and even at that it seemed as if the office was not ready for me. I had to answer the same questions to the nurse and the doctor which were the same questions on ZocDoc info and the info sheet I filled out once arriving. After the basic vitals, the nurse stated the doctor wanted to personally talk to me so she took me to his office where I was told to wait for him. The doctor came in (did not say a word), left me in there for about 5-10 minutes, came back in (said hello and started writing), left again, finally came back and started asking some questions. Then he went to take me to the room to do my exam and it was not ready. The doctor was pleasant enough once he got going but I can not say I would recommend this place. Maybe if you go later in the day once they get going, but don't expect to be the first appointment and get in and out because that will not happen.

This was my first ever appointment with a gynecologist, and it left me feeling very unsatisfied. First of all, I had to wait more than an hour past my scheduled appointment, just to have my height and weight measured; then I had to wait another fifteen minutes back in the waiting room again for the doctor, who was on the phone in his office; then when I finally met the doctor, I was asked to wait while he ran and got something. Even after he came back and actually started the appointment, I had to wait several more times while he accepted multiple calls on his cell phone. When I actually had his full attention, he seemed nice enough, but I definitely felt very talked-down to. When I told him the reason for my visit was partially to investigate my complete ambivalence to sex, he told me to just talk to a therapist, even though it was my psychologist who first suggested seeing a gynecologist to make sure everything was physically okay. He then said to consider lesbianism, because clearly if you have a young woman in your office telling you that she has no interest in sex AT ALL, it must mean that she's just not interested in sex with MEN. I was just frustrated with his apparent apathy towards investigating my health: when he was unable to perform an internal exam to check for what might be causing extreme menstrual cramps, he didn't even mention any other tests that could check for the same thing, he just said that I was probably fine and should just stick to taking ibuprofen (despite the fact that I had already told him that ibuprofen did very little to help). This appointment just sucked, overall.

Dr Andrew was very friendly and easy to talk to. He explains all the findings in details and is very gentle and understanding. You can tell he has a lot of experience and I will def go again. He reassured me while my previous doctor had left me very confused and anxious.

Dr. Dott immediately put me at ease, despite pretty severe white coat syndrome. He spent time consulting with me about my needs, concerns and medical history and I felt very comfortable before we ever got to the exam. This made it much easier to relax in an appointment that is typically a little uncomfortable for women. The entire staff at this practice was great.
