Doctor was running late but came out to tell me personally that he was running behind, which was appreciated.
I got in about 30 minutes late.
the doctor asked me all the general questions and then some specific questions about my knee injury itself.
he seemed knowledgeable and asked if i had any questions and scheduled a follow up call for 7 days out.
as long as the diagnosis (sprain) is correct, then he was great!

Dr. Engel is a godsend. Not only is he a precise doctor, but he is a good person. He does not let his ego affect the ways he treats his patients. He is willing to communicate well with payors and continues his medical education by doing his due diligence and taking accurate pre and post OP images. He won't rip you off. He has definitely helped rid my body of pain. I would recommend Dr. Engel to anybody. He is stellar at scheduling as well. No lost appointments or waiting to get in. He provides quick relief at the right price. Please book an appointment with him stat!

Dr Engel is very personable and easy to talk to. He spent plenty of time with me, which allowed him to put together a plan of care for injections and initiate it at my first appt. As a health care provider myself, I know this is a process that typically takes multiple visits in larger medical/hospital groups. I appreciate Dr Engel's efficiency with treatment and ability to start it on the first day.

Dr Engle and his office mgr are as good as it gets! He is so qualified in many more aspects of health care than just pain management! He is double board certified, knows more about MS and Neuromuscular disease than my former Neurologist at Rush, and has connections with MANY other specialists that are at the TOP of their fields! Amazing! I felt like Dr Engels really cared about my treatment. He took the time to discuss all the options available to me and answered any questions and was so thorough, even sending the order through to the pharmacy and making sure there were no problems with the prescriptions. I felt as though he had as much time for me as I needed.

Dr. Engel was very friendly, concerned about me because I had surgery in June and he helped me get up and into his office (I thought think that is very amazing how dedicated he is to his patients). I like that the new office building is so close to the train, bus line and they even have a parking garage (which I don't use because I live close by). He was able to relieve the same day my neck pain I was having. He has an excellent bed-side mannerism ( made sure that I didn't leave until I felt okay and he was very helpful during the procedure as well). I find that when you're in pain of any kind Dr. Engel always has away of making you laugh, which I think is helpful for those so they aren't focusing on the pain all the time. I recommend Dr. Engel to anyone who is looking for someone who is professional, trustworthy, friendly, caring and compassionate. You can't go wrong with him-trust me. He won't stop until you are feeling better.
