Sydnie Dobkin, LCPC

Psychotherapist
IL
My name is Sydnie Dobkin, and I received my Master's in Counseling from the Family Institute at Northwestern University. I am a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification Certified Clinician with almost a decade of experience providing comprehensive and adherent DBT. My goal is to provide behaviorally driven therapeutic care to clinically diverse adolescents and young adults. I want to support my clients and help them generalize their skills outside of the therapy room. In my free time, I love to travel, snuggle with my dog Harold, and scope out the best places to eat sushi. I also adore Taylor Swift and Harry Styles! While I am not currently accepting new clients, as a DBT Team Leader, I can connect you with my colleagues Julia Friedland, Talia Farrell-Rosen, and Samantha Fitzwater. Julia and Talia accept Aetna and BCBS PPO, while Samantha accepts BCBS PPO, UHC, and sliding scale rates.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

As a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification Certified Clinician, I am at my core a DBT therapist. However, I was initially trained in psychodynamic theory and later become certified in Reiki and Yoga-Informed Psychotherapy; thus, you can expect behaviorism with a bit of a twist. I like to meet a client where they are at and develop a genuine therapeutic connection!
