I saw Dr. Feldman as he was recommended by several friends who have had shoulder injuries treated by him (surgery, PT, PRP). He listened to my concerns, reviewed my MRI carefully, and explained everything in layman's terms. He laid out all my treatment options and gave me his clear recommendation. And he's funny.

Andrew J. Feldman, MD, Clinical Assistant Professor, NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases Department of Orthopaedic Surgery Director. Director, NYU Center for Hockey Research, Director, NYU Center for Hockey Performance.
Dr. Feldman is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at Hospital for Joint Diseases/NYU Langone Medical Center. He graduated from Cornell University with a Doctor of Medicine degree and completed his internship in General Surgery at Saint Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center. He then completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Illinois. Dr. Feldman completed his fellowship in Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy, and Knee and Shoulder Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian under Dr. Freddie Fu. He went on to serve as the Director of Sports Medicine at both Downstate Medical Center and St. Vincent's Medical Center in New York. He was the Head Team Physician and Surgeon for the New York Rangers Professional Hockey Team for 15 years.
Dr. Feldman has served as a medical consultant for numerous athletic programs and events, including the Tyson American Cup Gymnastics Event, Cirque du Soleil, and the University of Pittsburgh NCAA Athletic Team. He has made countless appearances in the media as a sports medicine expert, having been interviewed on CNN, Fox TV, Oprah Winfrey, The Today Show, The View, MTV, NBC, ABC, CBS, and the Discovery Channel, to name a few.
His upstanding reputation in the medical community is exemplified by his selection to New York Super Docs every year since 2008 and the Patient Choice Award. He is also the author of the book on sports medicine entitled “The Jock Doc's Body Repair Kit.”
