Dr. Angela Garza was born and raised in San Antonio and is excited to return to her hometown community. After graduating from Sandra Day O'Connor High School she attended Texas Tech University where she was placed on the Dean’s list several years. She graduated Cum Laude in 2010 with her bachelor’s degree in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Spanish. She knew from a young age she wanted to work in the medical field and found her passion for the visual system while working at a private practice during college. She attended the University of Houston College of Optometry and graduated Magna Cum Laude in May 2014.
Dr. Garza underwent further training in post-operative care and management at the Eye Center of Texas in Houston. Dr. Garza also received extensive training in primary care optometry at Vision Source in Alamo Heights. She is certified by the National Board of Examiners of Optometry and is a member of both the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Being a therapeutic glaucoma specialist, she is passionate about treating and managing ocular disease and helping patients of all ages. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and husband. Some of her favorite hobbies include working out, reading, and traveling.
