Impacting change is my passion. Medicine today is quickly evolving and so many doors of opportunity lead to healing, I love the doors that are available to us today, very different from 40 yrs ago. The technology makes the art of medicine worthwhile and gives people hope when there was none. I still love the journey. The primary care provider role is vast in today's health system, you are responsible to the patient and recognizing the whole person, not just the disease. This involves an understanding that relationships are developed between the PCP, patient and family. PCPs role expansion means you have a working knowledge of most disease processes and be able to navigate within your community to get services to your patients. Definitely in my opinion the role of the PCP is that of of the "hub" of care in the healthcare system. I love to cook. I enjoy family time and take every opportunity to be around my family. I like taking care of myself so that I can better take care others. So self-care is important to me.
