I treat people with anxiety, depression or a mood disorder, eating disorders, insomnia/sleep disorders, and issues related to inhibitions as well as difficulties with self confidence. And of course all kinds of relationship issues. After an evaluation, I will suggest a treatment plan which would include medication, if indicated, and often psychotherapy, as well as other recommendations, such as behavioral changes. A good treatment plan should be thoughtful as well as practical, and take into account a person's strengths as well as difficulties.
My experience as a psychiatrist and psychotherapist has taught me to work with all kinds of people with a range of difficulties. I enjoy meeting new patients. Over time, I have developed a specialty in working with people with anxiety disorders, but I also treat other, often related issues.
