Modern Obstetrics and Gynecology is proud to welcome Dr. Annie Kim who joins the practice this August. The team of physicians of Modern Ob/Gyn is growing to meet the needs of the community while maintaining and focusing on compassionate, individualized care and truly valuing the complete patient experience. Dr. Kim is a native of the Johns Creek area and is excited to return home to help care for our community. Having grown up in this area, Dr. Kim is familiar with the needs and expectations of her patients and will be able to provide exceptional care based on her excellent training and experience.
After graduating from Chattahoochee High School, Dr. Kim studied at the University of Pennsylvania where she majored in Biology and Chemistry, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Kim then received with her Doctorate of Medicine from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. For residency, Dr. Kim trained at the Akron General Health System where she again excelled, earning multiple awards. In her senior year of residency, Dr. Kim received the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons Resident Achievement Award, which is awarded to that surgeon most distinguished in the field of minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. During her time at Akron General Health, Dr. Kim also served in an important leadership role as the Academic Chief Resident.
Recently, Dr. Kim has been working in the Canton area and brings years of experience and knowledge as she now joins the practice of Modern Ob/Gyn here in Johns Creek. She will be caring for patients at both loc

After a very scary week of test results, I am so happy I found and got a chance to talk to Dr. Kim! From the time she walked into the room until us scheduling my follow up appointment, she was attentive to both my fiancé and patiently answered all of our questions thoroughly. This was my very first gynecology appointment. The receptionist and Dr. Kim's staff were really nice. Dr. Kim took the time to get to know me, was really kind, and answered all my questions. Wow, what a great experience! I was seeking a new ob/gyn due to relocating and also needed a new gynecologist that I could feel "open" with. Mission accomplished! Dr. Kim is fabulous---walked into the room with a big, genuine smile and seemed eager to listen to my concerns. She was a patient listener, fully engaged in conversation, and I LOVE fact that she took the time to really go through my medical history and fully discuss which contraceptive methods may work best for me. I also appreciate the fact that she was honest about the downsides or possible side effects of various medications as well. I felt like my health was her greatest concern during my time with her--that's basically how you should feel whenever you are receiving care (especially for the lady parts) from a physician. I've always felt "rushed" and slightly uncomfortable when trying to discuss female issues with gynecologists in the past. I'm feeling so grateful that I've finally found the perfect one! :)

The entire staff was friendly. It's easy to feel uncomfortable in an obgyn office-- but everyone there made me feel as comfortable as possible.

I doubt I was waiting more than 15 mins to be brought back, and I was attended to almost immediately, and the doctor came in maybe 5 mins later. The nurse was very friendly and the Dr. Kim was wonderful. I was very nervous about going in but she made me feel very comfortable.

I live in Midtown Atlanta but drove to see Dr. Annie in hopes of finding a doctor that I am happy and comfortable with. I have been unhappy with previous doctors, either because I felt like they did not care about me or because I felt judged. I had some concerns that I really needed an attentive and caring physician to help me with. I was over the moon with Dr. Annie. She was so kind and informative and made me feel at ease. I will continue to drive to her, because it is well worth it for the quality of her treatment.
