Our eye doctor, Anshu Sinha, M.D., FRCSC is a board certified Ophthalmologist with a pleasant bedside manner. She is compassionate, sincere, and thorough. She routinely takes the time to explain, educate, and answer all your questions.
Dr. Sinha is very active in the Howard county community. She has performed vision and glaucoma screenings at Howard Community College, The YMCA in Ellicott City and many local health fairs. In her effort to increase awareness for eye diseases, she has given many lectures to physicians and support groups in Howard County.
Moreover, Dr. Sinha is a provider for Howard County Healthy Howard Health program and provides eye care at minimal to no cost to the impoverished population. Staying true to her Asian heritage she also provides charity eye care to the recent Asian Immigrants through the Asian American Healthcare Center (AAHC).

Dr. Sinha was very professional and helpful. Her assistant went so far as to help me figure out what I actually needed before I saw Dr. Sinha so that I wouldn't be overcharged by my insurance company. So thoughtful!

The doctor was very personable, professional and efficient. I however was not informed of the severity of blurring and light sensitivity that occurred after dilation. I asked b4 if driving would be an issue and was told "No, many people drive after" by the tech. One should NOT drive after without proper eye wear that was not provided

My wife speaks very little English....I made advance preparation for her arrival with the Receptionist...Jacqu~... No doubt, it paid off...Everything went fluidly... Not only that... Receptionist was super nice and SUPER NICE..regarding my plight.....And the Doctor? Unequivocally was the same....

The wait was long(over 90 minutes), customer service sucked. She did the eye examine and didn't say 10 words to either myself or my sons. And they don't sale or recommend where you can purchase glasses.

To be seen by a technician it was 30 minutes. You then wait to see the MD for 30 more minutes. After the Md sees you you have more tests by the technicians and then you see the MD again. total appointment lasted 2 1/2 hours. I was a new to this practice and had multiple tests done. She explained all of the testing results to me. The wait time was similar to that of the other Ophthalmologist visits in the past.

Dr. Anshu is very knowledgeable, patient and very professional. She takes time to explain complex medical language in to simple and understandable material. You can tell that she is dedicated in saving people's eyes, and not just there for the $$s as other MDs. I highly recommend this provider especially for those with Medicare and Medicaid because most ophthalmologist don't accept these insurance. It's also worth mentioning that she is a medical doctor, not an optometrist, because MDs can diagnose conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma and still do vision test for prescription glasses, while optometrist are very limited in their scope of practice and mostly only prescribe glasses.
