Sympathetic and attentive
This was my second appointment with Dr. Azar, and I truly felt like he values me and my health. We spent a good half hour on the phone discussing my symptoms. It's great having a doctor who cares about his patients on an individual level.
He is everything you'd want in a doctor. He listens and explains everything clearly. Very professional and cool Dr. Will definitely be recommending him.
Sat for two hours without being seen. Several patients in front of me, some who walked out... none were happy.
dr azar is one of the best and knowlegeable doctors i have ever used. His bedside manner as well as his medical backround is second to none.. i highly recommend dr. azar for your medical need..thank you dr. azar
Very personable and thorough doctor.
Very informative and overall great experience.
Dr. Azar is very open-minded about alternative medicine, which I appreciate, and always takes lots of time to explain test results, etc. I find him to be a caring and professional doctor and I trust him with my health.
Incredible doctor— I am extremely impressed and highly recommend him.
I'm always comfortable w/ Dr. Azar. He's one of the best doctor I've ever had.
I've known Dr. Azar for many years. He's brilliant, open minded and works way too hard. I don't know how he keeps such a great disposition. He's helped me with a lot of thiings over the years and is open to my using natural and holistic treatments. Love him.
Dr. Azar was amazing. He made me very comfortable, was very funny and in line with the type of treatment I want!
It’s great to have a doctor who assesses the whole picture. Dr. Azar has helped me live a healthier lifestyle and if ever it was necessary to take medicine he will monitor my vitals for side effects. It’s a relief to have a doctor that is empathetic and determined to heal his patients.
Old school Doctor that really listens and explains what is going on and what to do about it
He was very professional and performed thorough assessment. I would definitely recommend him
Dr. Azar is great! Very friendly and extremely helpful
Dr. Azar is great! Professional and very accommodating. Highly recommend him to anyone in need of a good doctor in NYC.
Dr. Azar took his time with me and carefully reviewed all of my questions and provided very clear answers. He was very patient, never rushing through anything and has an awesome bedside manner! I was able to get all my vitals checked with no hassles. The office staff is great — very friendly and professional! I highly recommend Dr. Azar and will definitely be returning for all future follow-up visits!
I moved to NYC less than a year ago so I have been looking for a primary doctor, Dr Anthony takes my health insurance & is not too far from where I live, so I when I became ill I thought I would check him out. I was not disappointed at all! He’s a great guy, he listens to your issues, has a fantastic bedside manner & he is so honest. He really looks out for you, and tries to help in anyway he can. If you are reading this then it means you are contemplating using him, but stop at this review and do it! He’s fantastic! Will recommend to friends!
Was quick, super helpful and nice. Highly Recommend
The staff was friendly. The office was clean. I went in for my yearly check up. It was my first time seeing Dr. Azar. He asked me questions about my health. I didnt feel rush. He had a good sense of humor. It was a great visit.
Friendly, great bedside manner and efficient - thank you!
He had a lot of knowledge of both conventional medicine as well as alternative remedies. That was so refreshing when so many docs are unable to help, or feel as though you’re over exaggerating. I’m eager to see my health improve under his care.
He is an amazing physician who has been my primary care doctor for so many years as well as for my mother, sister and partner. He is full of knowledge and takes time listening to patients. He is one of the smartest doctors that I ever met and the pleasure to call my friend. His assistants are friendly and cordial.
Dr. Azar addressed all of the concerns I had during my visit. I value the most his patience to explain everything in a well-articulated yet easy to understand manner. His team is great too!
He is a very dedicated, and knowledgeable doctor, that listens to patients, and takes the time to understand patient as a whole.
Very kind and knowledgeable.
knowledgeable, personal and kind.
Dr. Azar is thoughtful , thorough and has a great sense of humor! I always feel better after I see him!
Staff was kind, attentive and thorough.
Good doctor, friendly and a good listener
Dr. Azar was great! Knowledgeable, professional, and accommodating. He's definitely going to be my go to Primary Care Physician from now on. Highly recommend him to anyone in need of a doctor in NYC.
I went to Dr. Azar for an annual checkup. I waited over an hour before he saw me. When he arrived, he rushed through the exam and explained nothing about what he was doing, why he was doing it, or whether the result was good or bad. I honestly have no idea if the physical went well or poorly. The plus: I was able to schedule the appointment two days prior to the visit
He’s an excellent physician with a great bedside manner. He’s also an ace at drawing blood. Barely feel it every single time. Whereas I normally get stabbed and end up with black and blue.
Dr Azar is excellent. They took me early, were really nice to my toddler who happened to be with me, and were very attentive. Dr. Azar is also really funny! Glad I found a good doc who can be my primary.
Always amazing and kind! I’ve been to him lots since finding him on zocdoc.
Support staff is great. Friendly, cute and know what they're doing. Dr. Azar is extremely smart and very real. More comfortable speaking Dr. Azar than any other general practioners I've had.
Great and very thorough. The nurse was also very sweet and attentive.
Wonderful doctor! Was seen in a timely manner. Assistant was nice, too. Dr. Azar was funny and informative, answered questions I had. Will definitely go back to see him.
I trust dr. Azar, I have been seeing him for years and I believe he knows me as a patient and as a person, and he takes my concerns seriously.
A few things I did not like... 1. There was lady waiting to be seen. The secretary needed to call her insurance so she did very loudly. It was embarrassing and I felt it was unnecessary to do in front of everyone. I wouldn't want everyone in my business. 2. They only take cash as a copay. When I said I only have a card she miraculously could take my card. Things I did like... 1. Dr. Azar was great. He took his time with me and gave me his recommendations along with possible reasons as to what is wrong with me. He is very personable and has a great quirky attitude. He got to know me and my daily activities to get a better feel. He is very knowledgeable and I appreciate his understanding and flexibility. Overall, I will continue to go to him but I LIKE HIM. Everything else was disappointing.
A great, caring and though doctor. Anyone would be lucky to have Dr Azar as their primary.
One of the most thorough doctor visits I’ve had in a long time.
I think he is a great doctor that gets its right on the first visit.
Incredibly professional, personable and kind. Made a great deal of effort to explain medicine to an uninformed patient (myself). Can’t recommend enough.
Extremely patient and excellent bedside manner. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Will definitely be a repeat patient.
Dr. Azar has become my go-to doctor in NYC - so helpful and friendly!
Waited an hour past my appointment time and when he finally saw me, he had his foot out the door for the next patient. He was funny and appeared knowledgable, and the staff was nice enough, but the appointment was both very abrupt and extremely long. Somewhere in the middle would be ideal. Will not return.
There simply is no one else like Dr. Azar. He is simply the best!
Dr A is fantastic. Always takes as much time as you need to go over everything that could potentially be ailing you. Have been seeing him for years and it's the exact same excellent service/treatment every time!
It took me years to find a primary care doctor I felt listened to me and really knew what he was talking about. I've recommended him to my family because of his ability to quickly diagnose, listen to my concerns and have a great bedside manner. He's also got a sense of humor which helps when you're feeling under the weather!
Dr. Azar is very personable, I went there for my general check up. Unfortunately every time he submitted things to a lab to be tested, which was three times, he requested testing that he did not discuss with me and I did not authorize, leading to bills that were quite high for services I did not want. I was able to rectify parts by putting a claim in with my insurance company. However, Dr. Azar continued this practice even after I specifically requested not to have any additional testing done outside of what he talked about with me. I will not be returning.
Dr. Azar was awesome as always. He will always take the time to explain things in detail which is one of the many things I love about him.
Dr. Azar was great. I had a wonderful experience. He made me feel comfortable and at ease. He was very thorough he took the time to check everything that's ailing me. His staff is very nice and professional, and his office is kept clean. I'm very happy about my experience.
Dr. Azar has been my primary care physician for about 3 years now. I choose to go to him even though he is out of network because he's caring, patient, knowledgeable, takes time to really examine you and cares about all aspects of your well-being. I highly recommend.
He's awesome. Very human. Really explains everything related to your symptoms and test results.
Dr. Azar is a great doctor!!! He walks you through his procedure(s), makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. More doctors need to be like him!!!!
I usually pay a lot money to go out of network to doctors to get the best but needed something last minute and booked with Dr Azar thinking I would just have a fine experience but i was truly impressed. He is sharp, thorough and has a sense of humor. I would go back to him as my regular MD. Highly recommended and I never write reviews too. That's how much i liked him.
Dr. Azar and the team were extremely courteous, friendly, and professional. The office was also not busy at all and I felt that my time was very well respected by not waiting at all. I'm really relieved to have found a great primary care physician.
He was attentive and humorous. Helped with multiple issues.
Dr. Azar was friendly but made too many off color jokes and was vulgar at times. His manner was inappropriate for a doctor.
The environment is very good, Doctor Azar is easy to talk with, very knowledgeable and gave me a lot of answers to different questions very quickly and made me totally at my ease! Helped me a lot and gave me confidence about being in his hands. Definitely recommended!
Dr. Azar was great! I felt that all possible areas were explored and walked away with the impression that Dr. Azar was very knowledgeable and insightful.
Very good professional
Friendly and very attentive, would go to again
Like most people, I was nervous for my first visit as a new patient, but him & his staff were extremely welcoming & made me feel comfortable. Even cracking jokes!! He understood & listen to my concerns & answered my questions. I would definitely recommend him!!
So happy to have found a Dr. that's a real person!
He is the most down to earth and through doctor I’ve ever seen. I love him.
Dr Anthony Azar is amazing. He was quick in his analysis and was able to explain what I had very clearly. He also has a great sense of humor which made this visit so much easier for me. He is a great doctor and I highly recommend him.
Dr Azar is very accurate with his diagnoses, have been seeing him for almost 20 years. His staff is pleasant and makes for a warm welcoming place...even when you have to see the doctor.
He was so sweet, down to earth, funny and incredibly knowledgeable! I look forward to being his patient.
Dr. was very chill and funny, assistants were also very friendly.
Friendly and helpful, definitely recommend for a great GP
Knowledgeable and efficient. I've been going to Dr. Azar for over a year now for different services (GYN, mental health, primary care) and absolutely no complaints!
Really really fantastic doctor. I came in really struggling to breath and was scared, particularly because I was alone. He really made me feel like I was going to be ok and that I was in good hands. Will certainly come back to him for any further medical needs.
Doctor Azar legit cleared up what my real symptoms were in regards to my sore throat i come to realize i have allergies as well ... he gave me what i needed to fix all my little problems and sent me on my way with a smile very professional and knowledgeable he is definitely my new official primary care doctor!
Very knowledgeable! Answered all my question and made me feel very comfortable. Will definitely see Dr. Azar again ??
Waited an hour and 45 mins to be seen. was then seen for 5 mins. when i went to pick up my prescription, part of it was missing...when the pharmacist phoned up the doctors office to find out where the rest of my prescription was she was told, the doctor could not find the medicine in the system, so had just left it out and not told me??!! how bizarre and unprofessional!
Anthony Azar and all of his staff were so nice. They put me at ease. Out of all the doctor visits I've been on, I felt more comfortable at Dr. Azar's office than at most. They saw me right away and were very helpful. Dr. Azar was very kind and personable and helpful. I highly recommend.
Dr. Azar was very professional but also cracked jokes on the side. I found that he was very through and helped me get the right medication needed. I will for sure be going back to his office .
Everybody was very nice, yet a little too quick and impersonal.
He is so fun and extremely knowledgeable. He makes it easy to sit in a doctors office and even knew what my rare kidney problem was which is not normal for any general care doctor to have even heard of! Thank you Dr. Azar
Great doctor, I was a first timer here at this office and had a great experience. Thankful this is the office I chose to visit.
Dr. Azar is the best!!!!!
Im glad that I went to this Dr. The office is nice and the staff very pleasant. I felt that things could have been explained a little better like what they were testing for and what medicines were being prescribed and why. Overall I am glad I went as I am now on the road to recovery thanks to this Dr.
Genuine, professional, made me feel at ease and showed patience in diognosing.
Very professional staff. Doctor Azar was quick, efficient, funny and very friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Excllent and takes his time to provide helpful information....
He is extremely knowledgeable yet equally open-minded about what regimine I wanted to try. Wait was very long but well worth it in the end.
Dr. Azar is very knowledgeable, thorough and caring. He is very well informed about all kinds of health issues-a real genius! He is easy to talk to and has a great sense of humor!
It was so pleasant. He was very friendly and felt comfortable under his care. He was also very knowledgeable and asking the right questions. I am thrilled to make him my primary care provider.
Dr. Azar is a great doctor. He was attentive to each of my various health complaints and was very personable, empathetic, and knowledgeable. He was definitely one of the best doctors I've ever seen.
Dr. Azar has helped me improve my health and quality of life. He reviews my conditions as a whole and follows up to make sure I dont show symptoms from past conditions. The office staff is efficient.
He was very friendly and personable. He answered all of my questions thoroughly and really paid attention to my issues instead of answering and hurrying out like most doctors. Definitely recommend.
Extraordinarily intelligent, caring and knowledgeable
Easy to talk to. Quick check up. Addressed concerns.
Great doctor and great guy. Like having your buddy take care of you.
Always a treat.
Excellent....brilliant diagnostician.....compassionate.. ...everything you would want in a doctor
Dr. Azar and his staff are incredible... this was my first visit and they made me feel beyond comfortable, took the time to explain everything to me and kept a smile the entire time. Would absolutely recommend!
Dr. Azar took the time to explain to me what the issue was and we discussed the treatment options at lenght.
Great doctor. Dedicated. Efficient and very reliable!
Dr Azar was very straightforward and gave a clear diagnosis and explanation of the issue. He was listening and very informative at any moment.
Awesome as usual. Very knowledgeable and expleains everything.
dr. azar is awesome. He is knowledgable and personable. have been going to him for many years and has helped me and my family get through many medical situations..i give dr azar the highest rating...
i love dr. azar. he is the best..go to him..you will be more than happy...
Dr. Azar is a gem - funny, knowledgeable, honest. Only gripe is long wait time
Doctors office looked nice and clean, staff was very friendly helpful and clear. Same for Dr. Azar.
Doctor Azar was absolutely wonderful! Addressed all my concerns without diminishing them and spend time chatting with me. Super friendly and personable. Highly recommend!
He's quick, direct, and diagnosed my illness and prescribed me with the medicine right away. I was in and out of the office within 20 minutes. Highly recommended.
Very nice...very thorough and professional...put me at ease... answered all my questions
Awesome doctor! Very attentions and detail oriented. He listens to you carefully and he is funny and that alleviates the stress of seeing a doctor. Strong recommend this doctor.
hes great. super friendly and works quickly
Amazing service from great staff. Dr Azar is a doctor who legitimately cares for his patients.
Great doctor! Makes you feel comfortable, ond one to think outside of the box (*Finding out root cause if problems). Got an appt quick, however, office wait took a while, but definitley worth the long wait!
Can't recommend him enough. It was my first time seeing him and if I get sick again it won't be the last. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Staff was polite too.
Best doctor I have ever been to.
Dr. Azar is the best!
Great service and low wait time!
Dr. Azar has been my physician for many years. He is very attentive and concerned, and spends as much time as you need to address your needs. I highly recommend Dr. Azar.
I would highly reccommend Dr. Azar. I chose him to be my new primary care physician because he had such strong reviews and he definitely lived up to the hype! He was very nice, very thorough, and funny as well. He was efficient, but didn't seem rushed at all and answered any questions I had and really listened.
Dr. Azar went through test results with me and explained what things meant and what I should do.
Dr. Azar makes sure everything is covered, he asks follow up questions and always ask if i need anything else. Always a pleasure.
Dr. Anthony Azar was nice and professional. He just seemed to be in a rush and that made me a bit uncomfortable, especially since this was my first visit. Other than that everything was fine.
They put that i was a male when i clearly was a female and i gave my ID card to the lady
Dr. Azar is incredible, I found him randomly, he's now my primary care physician.
Dr azar was recommended to me from an ER nurse a decade ago as one of the best doctors he knew He's excellent Decent Smart Thorough and his staff is awesome
He is very easy to talk to and is very engaged.
He is great, has a way of quickly finding out what is wrong and dealing with the issue. Great doctor.
Dr.Azar is very attentive and kind.
Dr. Azar concentrates on patient he is treating. Takes the time to hear you out. Great doctor.
Dr. Azar is a wonderful physician! He takes the time to explain things thouroughly and his staff is always polite and helpful. So happy to have found him!
Very thorough and well spoken general practitioner. I visited a few different docs in NYC and Dr Azar was by far the best option to make my regular. Waiting times are sometimes longer than preferable but that's totally fine with me, knowing that he doesn't rush through patients. Would recommend to anyone looking for a friendly and competent regular doc.
I been a patient of Dr. Azar for 16 years. He has the best best side manners and is so personable. Gives great advice too!
Was extremely impressed by him, his assistants, and his facility. He was attentive, he answered my questions thoughtfully, he was compassionate, and he was thorough. Most of all, he respected my wishes with regard to prescription drugs and was knowledgeable about non-medicinal solutions. I don't think I've ever had a better experience. He is highly recommended.
One of the main reasons I went to see him was due to his glowing reviews on Zocdoc and Dr. Azar did not disappoint. The wait time was a bit longer than I had anticipated (about 20 min) but once I met him, I realized that the delay was caused by the amount of time he gives his patients. His entire staff was very attentive; answering all questions I had. And even if Dr. Azar wasn't completely sure on something, he would do research to find out, rather than rattling off a stock answer. For instance, I asked about starting a regimen of hyaluronic acid, a supplement for joint pain caused by my recent increase in distance running. Dr. Azar said that he was familiar with the injections of it but wasn't sure of the success rate of an ingestible supplement as they often are completely broken down by the stomach before they have a chance to be absorbed within the bloodstream. Within 2 minutes, he was able to find the results of a double-blind placebo - controlled university study that showed a high success rate over a period of 12 months. To be honest, I'm so used to going to doctors that seem to "have the answer" right away and are rarely open to researching things that may be out of their normal realm of medicine. I would definitely recommend, Dr. Azar.
Thanks Dr Azar
Definitely worth the wait, the only reason I did wait that long was because he closed in with an emergency the day before and all the patients were rescheduled to the following. Excellent listener!!!!
I've been looking for a doctor who is 1. prompt 2. transparent with results, diagnosis, etc. 3. spell out the details of those results and provide them to you physically so you can digest them and look up on your own 4. provide achievable next steps/solves for issues addressed Dr. Azar finally gave me all the above and to top it off he has a STELLAR personality and makes you feel like you've been going to him for years. Thanks!
Anyone who has ever had an appointment with Dr. Azar knows he is the most wonderful, caring, intelligent, humorous and knowledgable doctors to every walk the planet. I couldn't possibly recommend him highly enough. I've been seeing him for over 10 years and plan to continue to do so for as long as possible.
He thoroughly explains the possibilities of what the symptoms could mean and what the options are. He's smart and funny as hell.
My first time with Dr Azar and he was great. Spent a lot of time with me, made sure to help me with everything I had going on without any rush.
Good listener, good teacher, rare mix.
I went in for a physicial. He is very nice, did blood tests and all the general stuff. Highly recommend him.
Dr. Azar is always attentive and very thorough! Plus, he has a great sense of humor. Highly recommend!
I have been a patient before the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. He has treated me and was responsible for my being healed. Without Dr. Azar, I would not have recovered physically and emotionally. Mark J.
Very knowledgeable and a great communicator. Was a first time visit, but he treated me like a returning patient.
Very Thorough, very knowledgeable, great experience. Took the time to listen and understand before giving several treatment options
Very pleasant. Detail oriented. I love that he took the time to walk me through his procedure.
Dr. Azar never disappoints.
Dr Azar is one of the few doctors who I've seen who took the time to learn my history and takes my concerns seriously when I visit him. I recommend him to my friends and family. You can't go wrong with Dr. Azar!
The long wait time was really frustrating. Someone who came in after me was seen before me, which was especially frustrating.
Organized, professional, and helpful staff that are clearly embracing technology in the front office and in the room with the physician.
Very happy with my general visit. Pleasant demeanor, knowledgeable and professional. Reception staff were also very nice. Highly recommended.
Very good staff, pleasant and professional. Dr Azar is personable, efficient, highly knowledgeable medical professional with great bedside manner, takes time to explain things in laymens term. Has always provided the right diagnosis for me, my family and friends.
Kind, attentative, and reassuring. Despite a slight wait, I had a great experience, will be back, and would recommend without hesitation.
Dr. Azar really listened to my problems and it's been a long time since I saw a doctor who took my concerns seriously. I think he's an amazing doctor and I'm glad I came across him on ZocDoc
Dr. Azar is knows about a lot of things most allopathic doctors know nothing about. He respects your intelligence and doesn't push drugs on you. Great personality.
Dr. Azar is bright eyed and full of wonderful energy. He is a thoughtful listener who, during my appointment, made me feel like I was truly his priority. We discussed my health concerns and he provided me with a thorough range of medical solutions. Wonderful bedside manner. I highly recommend him.
Good visit and thorough doctor, but his receptionist thought my appointment was at 11;15 when it was at 10:45. Saw 3 other patients who came after me, go in before me. Reiterate to her the time you've made your appointment for.
Very good bedside manner, very personable. After my visit, I made him my Primary Care Physician, and I feel that I made an excellent choice.
Dr. Azar is great!
Staff was very professional and made me feel very comfortable. I was obviously hesitant as a new patient but that melted away quickly.
Everything went well, except one odd thing: He makes you sign that you can't bring up complaints during a physical, meaning you need to have 2 exams if you want to have an annual exam and bring up something that's been bothering you. Doesn't really make sense and it's going to cost me extra money. Besides that, the physical went great!
Dr. Azar is a great doctor. Besides being highly knowledgable and smart, he is also very personable and makes you feel at ease. Furthermore, his staff is friendly and helpful.
I was sent to another doctor's office to get an x-ray. Had to co-pay in both places. The doctor was great, but at the end of the day it turned into a 3 hour ordeal for ~5 minutes of face time.
Very personable & professional all around!
A great physician!
I've been seeing Dr Azar as my GP fro over 10 years and have always found him to be amazingly professional with a great disposition!!
The wait is very long. Seems to have only him in there and several patients at the same time. Very busy. But he's nice and fun.
Nice, professional, effective.
Very accurate visit and the doctor took the time to listen to my concerns.
This doctor requires a fee before he even sees you, regardless of whether or not you have insurance. Also, test results take up to 2 weeks and he does not call you personally or have anyone explain the test results to you. They just email you a copy of the results, only upon request. Terrible service. Never going again.
Very professional and knowledgable. Made me feel very comfortable and confident.
Honestly, I don't think I've ever heard a doctor say the F word so much. He loudly screams at his nurses, openly speaks poorly about other patients, and is extremely manic.
Very thorough and professional.
Dr Azar is excellent. Very thorough examination and he really cares about his patients. If he finds anything amiss he doesn't send you out to a specialist right away but spends the time and performs some tests to have a clear understanding of what the patient needs and he then directs them to the most appropriate specialist. I never feel rushed with Dr Azar and he really puts the time into getting to know his patients and their medical history. Highly recommended!
He saved my life. Geat diagnostician.
Dr. Azar was incredibly kind and attentive – he's the perfect combination of professionalism with a sense of humor. I will continue to go back to him.
I went to see Dr Azar twice in the span of one month because my symptoms did not improve. At the second visit, he did additional tests on me. I had to call his office to find out when the results were back and to get them to send them to me. When I asked for Dr Azar to call me back to discuss the results with me, I received the following response from his office: "you can make an appointment to see Dr Azar; normally he doesn't get on the phone and explain blood result. We are not telemedicine." I ended up in the ER after my second visit and am still experiencing symptoms. I will be looking for another doctor who is able to explain results to me and address my concerns.
Dr Azar has been my physician for years and I wouldn't trade him for the world. Hi listens patiently and provides solutions to your health concerns.
He is one of the best doctors that I encountered in a long time. He saved my life twice from pneumonia.
Dr. Azar is excellent. Extremely knowledgeable and caring. He explained my ailment, why he prescribed what he prescribed and next steps if we didn't see the desired results. I genuinely feel compelled to express how great he was.
Dr Azar is fantastic and his bedside manner is one of the best I've encountered. The location is convenient to the Canal St. Q Train. My only complaint about the office is that all of the testing - X-Rays, blood work, etc is done off site, which requires a lot of extra appointments if you're a regular patient.
Great doctor. Professional, great personality yet efficient.
Dr. Azar is a very caring, knowledgeable M.D. who notices what other doctors may have missed and is also adept in holistic protocols. He also has a good sense of humor, so bring along a few good jokes.
This being my first time seeing him, Dr. Azar made me feel at ease. He's funny and very knowledgable. All around wonderful doctor.
I'm not a big fan of going to the Doctor at all but I have to say Dr Azar was brilliant. He's patient and addresses everything in a manner that's easy to understand. He was very professional, the staff was friendly and I would highly recommend this practice.
Dr. Azar was great, very efficient checkup for my annual physical.
It was a follow up appointment. It went well. All my questions were answered and I was given a through run down of what was going on with my results.
this is the first time with this doctor that I waited under half an hour to be seen, even with a scheduled appointment. other times, it will be closer to 45 mins or even over 1 hour!
Dr. Azar is gregarious and funny. He set me at ease and I felt comfortable with him right away.
Dr. Azar is amazing. He's very nice and easy going and seems very knowledgeable. The way the appointments are done is with a 30 minutes buffer to fill out the paperwork. I feel that booking through Zocdoc then defeats the purpose as all the paperwork is already filled and there isn't anything to do when arriving. I ended up waiting that 30 minutes buffer and the doctor was running 15 minutes late because the previous patient was late by on his appointment by 15 minutes...
I waited for almost an hour and a half to see the doctor for a literally 4 minute procedure. I also found the doctor to be a bit condescending. I probably won't go back.
I am not a fan of going to the doctor, getting blood drawn, and have always had a serious phobia. I'm a huge baby about it and dread going. However, Dr. Azar changed this for me entirely. He is SO welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable. When he drew blood at my annual physical, I had no idea he had started or finished! It was incredible. He is so gentle and calming! At another appt., I had pain in my leg and knee from running and he knew exactly what I had (confirmed this when I later went to a specialist and physical therapy) even though that's not his area of expertise. He is well-rounded, good sense of humor, easy to talk to and I would send anyone to him! I don't live in NYC anymore but wish I could duplicate him here in Michigan!
Excellent at removing stitches. Great personality, knowledgeable and courteous.
Dr. Azar was awesome as always! Very patient, went through all the issues and questions I have.
Great, easy to talk to and direct. Didn't waste my time and addressed everything I was concerned about.
Friendly and personable staff, and the Doc was also very jovial. On top if it all, very professional. An easy referral process for issues to be dealt with outside the office! All in all a great experience.
Great - am making him my general practice doctor
I waited over an hour to see him.... after half hour in the waiting room I asked what the problem was and they put me in another room. Took probably another 40 minutes for him to come in. Seems like a good comprehensive doctor, but what really turned me off afterwards was that the practice wouldn't give me my test results unless I came in (which would cost me another visit and they do not accept insurance). I called several times and emailed, but he never called me back to discuss over the phone which was really upsetting I wasted my time on testing and a visit that I don't even know the results to.
Anthony has been my doctor for a long time. He is caring attentive and I feel Very lucky to have found him.
He was a pleasure. Great doctor.
Excellent as always
Took the time to chat with me about concerns etc. would definitely recommend
I went in for a long overdue physical and a follow-up a couple of weeks later after my blood work came in. Dr. Azar is patient, knowledgable and thorough. He just so happened to be in my Aetna network and had stellar reviews on Yelp. So that's who I went with. And the accolades were well deserved.
He was very professional and very kind. He took time to listen to my concerns and his medical advice was very helpful.
I've been a patient of Dr. Azar for over 15 years. I am so glad that I he is my doctor and have recommended him to my friends.
Great doctor. Covered everything.
I am very pleased with my visit. I would recommend Dr. Azar to anyone looking for a primary care physician.
Both the assistants and the doctor were very informative. This is extremely important to me because every other doctor that I've been to in NYC has been overly vague on diagnoses, reasoning for treatments, and data from tests. It's really hard to find quality medical care in this city and I recommend Dr. Azar specifically to those who are frustrated with being left in the dark and those who are frustrated with careless overprescription of unneeded treatments like antibiotics. He does it right and treats what needs treatment.
Dr. Azar and his staff was very pleasant. I would recommend this to anyone.
Wasn't too thrilled when I had to refill all of my forms again when I got to the office. The wait for the doctor was excessive as he seemed to be stretched thin. Once he got there he was fine and assuming the wait was a one time thing I'd happily go back.
My favorite GP ever! He has a great (very polite and sympathetic) staff. Dr Azar is a gem.
Excellent physician I would absolutely recommend him
Dr. Azar is a great doctor. He is knowledgeable and experienced. He is also personable, and has a good temperament. I highly recommend him as your primary physician.
Very efficient, human guy. Well mannered.
He genuinely cares about helping you while also being a cool, friendly guy. First great doctor experience I've had in NYC.
I love Dr. Azar
Was not impressed with the whole wait time and the excuse he gave. I know what I heard and the wait time do not justify it.
As always he has been pretty great, my only issue now is that his office seems to be nickel and diming you in more charges. They have raised the copay rate and charge for individual tests he may do. This is rather unfortunate and will likely result in me switching doctors soon.
Mr. Azar is very nice and professional but the wait time in his office is becoming a huge issue. I schedule my appointments during my lunch breaks at work and frequently find myself waiting an hour, and sometimes more, to see him.
Dr. Azar is simply the best. He is knowledgeable, friendly, compassionate and thorough. If only every medical professional had his high standards...
Hey, the ladies' manner at the reception really could be better. It was not horrible but not very welcoming either. Doc Azar is great though.
The office is very nice. Nurses and front desk ladies and friendly and helpful with any questions I had. Dr. Azar was super kind, gave me a lot of information that I need about my health.
Went for vaccinations before traveling outside the country. Would recommend to others. Professional and personable. Only downfall was the wait time, however, what doctor's office doesn't make you wait? Brought a book to read to make the wait bearable.
This doctor was awful. He's so patronizing it's painful and his "professional" medical opinion is anything but professional. I was there because I suspected I had a stomach ulcer and was in significant pain but couldn't get a same day appointment with my regular doctor or nearly anyone (shocker this guy's schedule is wide open). When I told him about the psychiatric medications I take daily he of course gave me unsolicited advice which was offensive and also just irrelevant to the medical issue I was asking to be treated. He had known me all of 5 minutes and didn't even ask me to tell him about my psychiatric history. He also criticized me for not having meat in my diet---I felt like it was 1995 and I was a child being lectured about the glorious benefits of a red meat diet. THEN he didn't take the time to explain to me why I might be having these symptoms, what sort of things cause it, OR how to treat it!!!! It was unbelievable. He asked me questions, did an exam and ran a test. A nurse practitioner left me with some sample medication and said 'he said to take this 1x a day.' That's it. I googled the medication afterwards and it's used to treat stomach ulcers so that confirmed my suspicion. So then since he couldn't do the job I actually ASKED him to do I had to google basic things like what kind of food you should or should not eat with an ulcer, is it ok to exercise, what medications should you avoid etc. I too work in the medical field and my opinion is this guy is so wrapped up in his own ego that he's completely unaware his practice is nowhere near high qualify care. They didn't take my insurance so I paid out of pocket because I needed to see someone immediately. While I needed medical attention I definitely don't think I got my money's worth. My advice to others reading this: with all the above information in mind, now read his bio and decide if you want to see a guy who is a phony "know it all" or someone who is going to take time to listen to you and respect you, and at the very least explain to you your aftercare routine!
Doctor Azar is a real pro. He was extremely thorough and his team were great. Highly recommended.
Pleasant, very professional staff.
Dr Azar was a fun doctor and a very no nonsense kind of guy. I appreciate his demeanor and speediness (seeing as I'm a 29 yo healthy dude I'm sure he had more important people to attend to and even that I appreciated). He's my primary care guy now as far as I'm concerned.
Staff and Doctor were very friendly. You can tell he cares by the many questions that he asks that other doctors never have before. Also didn't take my bloodtest because I had eaten that day, where most doctors don'e even care to ask and will take a blood sample from you at 5pm. Call your insurance to make sure you know what you're covered for because the billing lady in the front will claim you aren't covered for things you actually might be covered for- so make her call the insurance in front of you to clarify. Over all I 100% recommend this doctor.
I'd expected a long wait, based on the reviews that I'd read. I chose to see this doctor despite that, based on the excellent reviews of the doctor himself and the walking proximity of my apartment. My experience was virtually no wait (by the time I'd filled out my forms, I was called immediately) the doctor was indeed excellent, and the staff was professional and friendly. I don't know if I got lucky with the wait, or if they made some adjustments based on past negative reviews regarding said wait... but, my overall experience was very good and I would certainly recommend Dr. Azar.
he was very thorough and understands that what you are feeling is not in your head!! my daughter and I both were diagnosed with Lyme and he was the only Doctor that knew how to treat it....without making us feel crazy......
I went in for a physical. I had not seen a doctor in close to two years, so was hoping to check blood pressure, vitals checked, etc. etc... I waited for over an hour after my appointment time before being seen. I was put in a waiting room for another 15 minutes before finally seeing Dr. Azar. He was friendly, but seemed very rushed. We spent no more than 5 minutes together and he sent me on my way. Complete waste of time.
Dr Azar was great as always!
Yes the wait time is long but unless you in an absolute rush it's totally worth it. Dr Azar is very knowledgable, incredibly caring and compassionate and willing to take as much time with each patient as that patient needs and to me that's very "worth the wait" literally. No patient question is a stupid or tedious question w Dr Azar. He will spend as much time as needed to properly diagnose what's ailing you and recommend the right specialists or course of treatment. My former Primary Care Physician would hustle patients in and out as fast as possible and it's completely the opposite with Dr Azar.
Cash only for co-pays, this was not on the ZocDoc website. Also, the paperwork I completed on ZocDoc had to be filled out again in person. There were a couple computers down as well and my 12:45pm appt. was at 1:35pm. The doctor was really great though but there were lots of angry patients in the waiting room since it was a weekday during normal working hours.
Dr Azar has been my PCP for over twenty years. His diagnostic skills are excellent and his blend of alternative and " main stream " treatments have helped me through a very serious illness. He always takes time to explain the problem in terms that are understandable and listens to my concerns. My husband and son are also patients. I recommend him and his office staff without any reservations.
He's a friendly, funny, whip-smart, and all-around great GP. I'd recommend him to anyone.
The front desk of the office didn't inform me I was out of network, then again, I'm not sure they are liable to do that.
Dr. Azar was hands down the best doctor I have seen in NYC! Very professional, thorough, intelligent, and personable. Thanks Dr. Azar I feel like I am already on the mend!
I thought Dr. Azar was great. He has a kind, calm and comfortable vibe and even though I was a little anxious he immediately put me at ease. He was thorough and explained everything along the way, and my visit was relatively quick and painless. I would go to him forever, but it looks like he's stopped accepting my insurance!
I'm so thankful I found him. Modern space, knowledgable, personable, and helpful.
I went to Azar for four years before switching insurances to one he did not accept. Overall he was good. A bit rushed at times but in general he was good. I would have stayed with him if he took Cigna.
Very easy to talk with and knowledgable. His staff is friendly and helpful. :)
there is always a wait. shortest time to be seen is about half and hour. today's appt was the longest wait close to 1 hour and 15 mins. i was called into an exam room to check my vitals maybe 10 mins upon arrival but then sat inside the room waiting for over 1 hour.
Pleasant 1st time experience. He had a busy day of appointments, but I don't think it's unusual to wait 1/2 hour for most doctors. I felt confidence in his assessment and felt he went the extra mile when I came back later with a few questions. He is friendly and easy going. His staff feels like they are on top of things and were extremely efficient.
The woman up front is always rude. She forces you to pay copay for every visit, no matter what the argument against may be. This was my second visit, and I noticed every other person that had an interaction with her wound up in an argument. Also, I waited nearly an hour before getting into the office, and another 20 minutes to see the Doctor, despite the calendar being open this morning on ZocDoc, and there being very few people in and out of the office. Poorly managed practice, strongly not recommending going.
As always, a pleasure seeing Dr. Azar. He was very thorough and genuinely cares.
I've been seeing him for a few years and not many doctors will spend as much time with you or try as hard to help you. I'm a big fan.
The Good: Was able to treat my condition quickly and accurately. The Bad: I had to re-do my medical history, despite the claim on Zocdoc that this office supports Zocdoc's electronic version. Overall: I will use this office again in the future.
I am new to the city and this was my first shot at finding a primary physician. Dr. Azar was very kind and very efficient. Everyone in his office was nice and helpful. I ended up waiting about 40-45 minutes for my appointment, but once I got in, I was out in under 30. Another thing that I found very telling was that every person that I saw (4 patients) that walked out of the office was smiling. Dr. Azar was able to put all of his patients at ease and that is very important. He was funny, he was direct, and I even got my prescription less than 10 minutes after leaving the office. I will definitely go back.
He is The best doctor ever!
He's one of the better doctor's I've come across in NYC. He's earnest, funny, and cares about his patients. I'd actually like to see him more often.
The visit was okay I do have a follow up.
The office and everyone that worked there was very nice, but I had to wait over 30 minutes because a NP saw me to take my vitals, then another 30 before the doctor saw me. He was nice, but quick, most likely because he was running late. Thankfully I wasn't there for anything serious.
The doctor was great, but the woman up front was rude. Also, although I filled out all the forms on Zocdoc, I essentially had to refill out the office's internal versions of the exact same reports, despite telling them I had filled them out on Zocdoc. After the initial height/weight/BP checkup, I wound up waiting over 30 mins to see the doctor. However, once I finally got to see him, he was fantastic. I'll be going back.
I waited for good 2 hours before I was even entered into the patient's exam room. Then waited for another 45min in the patient room until I could see the doctor. The doctor himself is quite nice and thoroughly explains things, but the front desk administrators keep on accepting more patients even when they have too many patients waiting already. The doctor kept on telling the admins not to let more patients in, but they ignored the doctor. I had no other choice but to wait since they collected my co-payment already and told me that the wait would be only 20min... then 45min... then they said I'm the next patient... In the end, I waited about 2 hours 45min ~ 3 hours for 10 min doctor consultation. I would never go back there again unless they change the administrative staff.
There's something fishy about this office, tho it does seem to have its champions so maybe my experience is singular. I had anal HPV warts and Mr. Azar (who reacted like a repulsed child when he saw them and explained nothing to me) sent me to a dermatologist, even though when a person has anal warts they are encouraged to have an anal pap smear or something to check that there are no warts on the interior (which there often are). Since Mr. Azar proclaimed "Oh God they're everywhere!" when he saw my warts, I'm surprised he didn't send me to a proctologist who could do the interior exam. The dermatologist, who can't do an interior exam but can only freeze off exterior warts, was ALSO surprised Mr. Azar sent me to her, rather than to the proctologist--the dermatologist recommended me to one. Both the dermatologist and proctologist were excellent. The proctologist removed the warts and told me to get a Gardasil shot. I decided to go back to Mr. Azar out of convenience, and because I wondered if I was being too sensitive about my initial visit. When I called to make the appointment, I was told I *might* have to pick up the vaccine myself from the pharmacy across the street. Because why would a Doctor's office have vaccines in stock? I don't remember being told I would be charged for this, tho it is insisted I was. Now I get something may have been lost in translation, but when peoples HEALTH and MONEY are concerned, a doctor's office should be EXPLICIT. My insurance told me the Gardasil vaccine is free before you turn 27; I'm 26. I didn't know I needed to ask them: hey, do you cover it when doctor's offices send you across the street to pick up a vaccine yourself? Also, is this shady? They would have told me (and eventually did tell me) of course we don't cover that, and just go to a doctor who carries vaccines in their office. It seems unethical to me that I paid my copay and waited over an hour to be seen, then the doctor told me I needed to get the vaccine myself (which I already knew) and then I go to get the vaccine and I'm charged for it. For what? What would I be paying for, if the vaccine is free before I'm 27? For picking it up, myself? Why does Mr. Azar's office only take cash for co-pays? It's the 21st century. Why does Mr. Azar's office overbook so much? Could it have something to do with the cash co-pays and sending people to the pharmacy conveniently located across the street, where you will undoubtedly have to pay for transporting the vaccine yourself? All very very strange. I will say the only thing that kept me from going ballistic (besides my natural grace) was the fact that the staff is very very nice.
Dr Azar is a knowledgable doc with excellent kind, but straight-talking bedside manner.
Terrific, friendly & to the point as a doctor. The wait of 1 hour 15 minutes after my appointment however left me feeling pretty sour.
Doctor Azar was very professional and efficient. I'm even considering making him my regular primary doctor. The staff at the clinic was courteous, and professional.
I love dr. Azar. He is simply the best
Dr. Azar was very professional and was right to the point. Very personable as well as an enjoyable personality. Also referred me to the appropriate doctors with the least amount of obstacles to go through. I would encourage people to give him a visit.
Wonderful staff and Dr. Azar is great. Only complaint is that I had to wait for longer than 30 minutes for my appointment, but that's because I may have been spoiled by other Dr.'s offices.
The name of the place is called Ageless medical which put me on guard imagining thoughts potions and enchantations but when I spoke with Dr. Azar he was very knowledgeable with a well practiced eye on symptoms and knew the right questions to ask get to a root cause and diagnosis quickly. There were at least 2 to 3 people waiting in the waiting area at any moment which probably explained Dr. Azar being a bit rushed in conversation as his time was only so available. His assistant who did initial triage forgot to add in my information to the EMR system which I did myself while seeing the doctor. Other than that and the wait of around 35 minutes it was very good experience.
The Doctor took time to listen to what I had to say. He gave me detailed instructions on treatment. His office was clean and comfortable. His staff was welcoming and polite. The doctor was also polite and professional himself. All in all, a good experience.
The Dr.Azar it's great doctor
He was very courteous and quick, he already had an idea of what is causing all my symptoms. Which to me was a relief because it was a good to have a idea of what it was.
Took me over 1 hr 30 mins rom my appointment time to see the Dr. The ladies at the desk couldn't care less. They said "not to keep only 2 hrs next time". Who has more than 2 hrs on a working day to get checked out for a sore throat? They charged me as soon as I got there so I couldn't even just leave. And why can't they let patients know if the Dr is backed up? Completely unprofessional; they do not value your time.
I arrived 15 minutes early and filled out paperwork and was seen right away. I was impressed with the professionalism. Dr Azar is clear and right to the point as well as informative. I recommend him!
Anthony has been my doctor for a long time and I highly recommend him.
Efficient and great sense of humor!
Was given no notice that the doctor was running an HOUR behind schedule and had to leave. I said I would have liked a phone call to which they said "they were going to but just lost track of time"
I have seen Dr Azar several times. The first wait was a few hours. I stuck with this Doctor because he was very comprehensive, knowledgeable and informative. The last three three visits have been flops. I can not recommend this Doctor, unless you are a person with a flexible schedule. 1. Had to wait almost 3 hours for an appt...thought maybe this was a fluke. Booked again with a lot of trepidation. 2. Next Appt...nightmare. He could not find prescription. Had to rewrite it. Wait was nearly FOUR hours. Wrote prescription for HALF of the dosage. All of this despite the fact that I kept telling the receptionist I had a dinner appt. 3. Today, I booked another. I called ahead to make sure that the appt would be a reasonable wait. I get to the office. He has just arrived there. Turns out that the receptionist left me a message 15 minutes before my arrival that he would be late. Could not guarantee that I would be see. I left. Dr Azar. Get your act together.
Great personality, seemed very knowledgable and experienced. Was able to diagnose my symptoms quickly and thoroughly. The long wait time was due to the staff switching over to a new computer system that was more difficult to work with, so the long wait time was not entirely the staff's fault.
I have been a patient of Dr. Azar for about ten years. Although he is always busy, he is always thorough and shows concern. I am happy to have found him.
Super casual, easy to talk to, matter-of-fact.
I went there for my annual check up. Doctor was very friendly, knowledgeable and he didnt rush me. He was very patient in answering all the questions that I had.
My visit here was extremely unprofessional from the waiting room through to my time with Dr. Azar. I felt like nothing more than a source of revenue, rather than a patient.
The moment I got there I was told I would have to wait an hour. Sounds like this dude overbooks to cash in.
Doctor Azar is absolutely wonderful! I trust that I am in the best hands and that he has a genuine care for his patients' well being! I would definitely recommend him.
I have been with Dr. Azar for almost 20 years. He's absolutely the best in terms of caring for his patients.
It was the first doctor's visit of my entire life. They kept me waiting for 2 hours. And the lady who I spoke to BEFORE committing to the appointment clearly told me they handle IUDs. When I met with the doctor, he was cursing repeatedly and saying he did not offer this service and told me it was not his problem that he was listed as a OB/GYN by ZocDoc and that I needed to "figure it out with them." The worst part was that he claimed I was lying about the assistant who told me that they handle IUDs. In fact, she even quoted me the prices on the phone. But, the absolute worst was him cursing with me alone in the room with him. It was extremely uncomfortable and very unprofessional. The assistant also lied and said they had a medical emergency and that's why they kept me waiting for 2 hours. And the doctor claimed he wasn't busy at all but was occupied by the computer system failing, and proceeded to curse for the remainder of our first conversation.
Great doctor. Would recommend!
Dr Azar got into a verbal argument in the office with a staff member which culminated with his firing the staff member, throwing her belongings into the waiting room, and his exiting the office. No one on staff commented about this episode and several patients were left in the waiting room confused about if they were going to be seen.
Great staff. Anthony was very likable, someone I felt very comfortable with and could trust.
He was very nice and cared about my health not like other doctors trying to rush me quickly. He took his time. I shall go back to him.
Very efficient, personable and the waiting room was reassuring. Not a questionable doctors office. Legit.
Dr. Azar and his medical team is very professional, friendly, and makes you feel comfortable and welcome. His office is nice! Didn't have to wait long at all.
Such a knowledgable primary Doctor and exactly who you would want to see when you need some clarity on your health. He takes his time to listen to your concerns and gives you options and knowledge to help you plan a course of action. He makes you feel like no question/concern is too small to discuss. I'm so relieved to have Dr. Azar as my primary care physican.
Superstar Dr. It's hard to find a good one. I'm very lucky to have stumbled across Dr Azar when I moved to New York. I recommend him to anyone.
really good! A nice kind doctor.
Felt very rushed once I actually saw the doctor. He barely introduced himself, or tried to make me feel comfortable. Looked at me for less than 30 seconds and was very dismissive with any concerns I made. Left feeling like I barely saw a doctor. Would not recommend.
Dr. Azar has a great sense of humor and is very professional. He's a no-nonsense, comical New Yorker with very friendly staff. Although the wait time was a little long, seeing him was well worth it. Bring a book to read while you're waiting. I would totally recommend him to my friends.
I thought he was good, efficient, knowledgeable and attentive. However, he was very short-staffed, I waited for over an hour even though I was the only person in the waiting room. The receptionist was also the PA I guess, so was not at the front desk most of the time either.
I waited the 40 minutes because I like the way he treats me! He is always busy because most of his patients are very happy with him.
Dr. Azar seemed very well informed about my issues and was a very approachable, fun doctor. He also spent a TON of time with me - I started to feel guilty for how long I got to see him.
The nurse had me fill out paperwork right away and saw me as soon as I completed. It was a day after a major snowstorm and on top of that it seemed the doctor was having computer issues (I overheard his frustration in the next room). He came in frustrated but very apologetic that his feathers were ruffled and then proceeded to give a thorough check-up as well as took blood without me feeling a thing!
Very calming Dr.
dr.azar is the best you won't find a better doctor anywhere
Great attitude and very personable.
Fantastic PCP. Thorough. Knowledgeable.
Dr Azar has a tremendous bedside manner and put me at ease immediately as I walked through the door. He was patient and intuitive during the appointment and took a genuine interest in my situation and what was ailing me. I'd absolutely recommend!
Really friendly, listened to me and was sympathic to help me get the right treatment
There was a bit of a wait time, however Dr. Azar was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient when he did see me.
Very polite very professional excellent is all I can say I was very pleased
I had a terrible experience here. I came here for my annual physical. Even though I was the only other person at the clinic, the staff kept me waiting for a long time. Then, when I finally saw the doctor, he performed the most perfunctory of checkups (5 mins if that) and referred me to Quest, where he'd requested tests beyond the scope of a routine checkup. What should have been a routine checkup left me with an expensive lab bill. Even after I saw the doctor, his staff left me sitting in the room for almost half an hour, until I finally left the room to find a nurse and ask if I could leave. I'll definitely not be returning here again.
Best doctor I've seen yet. Thorough and informed.
Very personable and knowledgeable! Whatever my ailment, I always leave his office sure that I have all of the information + treatment/recommendations for whatever's bothering me. Best doctor I've ever had.
He had a relaxed and kind manner but the appointment felt a bit rushed.
I was not pleased with him writing several prescriptions for vaccines, that had to be handled at third party pharmacies. Each shot was going to cost more than my actual co-pay, and then I had to continue calling my insurance company because they wanted to over charge me (they almost put me on collection because they wouldnt fix their errors).
Always fantastic. Very friendly. Listens and is accommodating. His staff are also very helpful and friendly.
My appointment was at 9:45am on a Wednesday. I arrived on time but the consultation started a few minutes past 11am. The doctor enters and immediately starts talking about my test results neglecting to apologize or even say hi. The doctor explains that the results of the test confirm the previous (initial) test, this takes less than 5mins, he then tells me to meet him at the front. He then sees another patient and does not appear at the front.
I was really excited, given the positive reviews I've seen, but Dr. Azar was in a big hurry, and it was obvious. There were several things I wanted to talk to him about, but he made me feel as though I was wasting his time by trying to fit everything in. He also went over things very, very quickly, which was hard to keep up with. I felt silly asking him to slow down, but you shouldn't be made to feel that way in a Dr. office. I'll go back for one follow-up, but if I get a similar vibe, I won't be returning. It's too bad since he's so close to my office!
I got to speak with him for 5 minutes, and barely got to ask all of my questions. I waited for over an hour.
Dr. Azar is pleasant though brisk if he's short on time - he likes to chat though not necessarily about diagnosis. The staff is efficient, the space is clean. The only reason I chose this place was because it was close to my work.
He's a great doctor with a great staff but the wait time-at least the last couple of times I have been there-has been outrageous. The excuse has been the computer system. Needless to say they need an upgrade.
Great, personal, informative and comprehensive. Never felt rushed or like I couldn't ask my questions.
Have to go to a separate lab for blood work was the only inconvenience.
Dr. Azar was great. Thorough and professional yet laid back and comforting. Best of both worlds. Everyone else in the office was polite and professional. Overall excellent experience.
Very personable, knowlgeable, thorough, while staying efficient. I'll definitely use him again.
Dr. Azar was smart, funny and kind. He's a good listener and asked lots of questions -- I felt like he treating me as a whole person and not a collection of symptoms. I can tell he will be a great doctor for me going forward. He has a nice and pleasant office and his support staff are very sweet also. I didn't have a long wait to see him and if I'd done my paperwork beforehand, I think I would have been able to see him as soon as I walked into the office.
I loved it. Everyone was warm and welcoming. Dr. Azar was professional and pleasant. Even though it was the evening I didn't feel rushed at all.
Dr. Azar was professional and approachable - overall a great experience!
Did a physical, was short and brief, which was good. The wait time was really long. Had a 5 pm appointment. I showed up at 4:50pm. I didn't see the doctor until 6 pm. Was in and out in 20 minutes after that.
The App went well. Dr. Azar was excellent! Nice and clean office. Only complaint was the wait time.
I thought the Dr was very helpful and his advise was excellent. I could tell he had my interests at the forefront as he gave me open and well informed information about my situation. He had me off for tests and build up straight away which was appreciated. Look forward to meriting him again. David G
Fabulous. Have been searching for a primary care doctor forever who is kind, empathetic, skilled and has great sense of humor. Hit the jackpot with Dr Azar
Competent, thorough, and conversational. Vast improvement from the factory-floor NYC doctors I have become accustomed to.
Dr. Azar was very friendly and seemed highly competent though my exam felt a little rushed. This was mostly annoying since the wait was very long. There was only one other person in the waiting room but I we ended up both waiting close to an hour. He seemed to have been there much longer but then I ended up waiting in the exam room for even longer. I'd go back but the wait would have been pretty bad if I had a tight schedule. Other than that, both Dr. Azar and the staff were all very nice and polite.
AWESOME DOCTOR, VERY HONEST AND IMFORMATIVE, WILL ANSWER ANY QUESTION.
It wasn;t the best... felt like I was rushed and he didn't seem very sincere. The hours are also all over the place.
Excellent Doctor. Very comprehensive, personable, knowledgable. Most doctors are in such a rush, but Dr Azar really asked a lot of questions and educated me. Highly recommended.
Awesome,very confident, very informative
He was very thorough and vested in me. Listened very well and assessed me as an individual. His approach is precise and personable. I feel confident that I will get the proper diagnosis after testing and treatment to follow. HIs staff is very welcoming and efficient!
Honestly, best doctor I've ever seen. I'm originally from Australia where we get free health care. I've been living in the USA for 5 years. I'm not much of a "sick" person but have trialled at least 7 or so doctors since arriving - none of which I felt were component, hence my reason for choosing a new one each time I went. I feel like I hit the jackpot last night when I saw Dr. Agar. He is brilliant. Very knowledgable, caring, does not rush you. He has a genuine interest in his industry - is up to date with all the latest medical trends. He's even on Zoc Doc! The front desk receptionist was very polite and happy. Everyone was kind of chirpy which leads me to believe he must treat his staff well. I want in for a suspected case of pneumonia. He did some preliminary testing and even treated me with an inhaler while there. I was impressed with his holistic approach. He's no hipster by any stretch (nor am I) but he's keenly aware that pumping antibiotics into someone isn't the first answer to everything. At the same time though he wasn't completely against the idea. He in fact gave me the antibiotic script as a precaution in case my (mild) symptoms didn't improve. I also liked that he apologized for being late. I was the last appointment of the day so they were running behind. Unlike some other arrogant doctors he politely acknowledged the fact. I'll definitely be a regular. Too be honest I'll be introducing everyone I know to him.
This is the most professional, friendly doctor I have ever seen. Reception was wonderful, the nurse was wonderful, the Dr is wonderful. I highly recommend this surgery.
It was fine. I wasn't looking for a friend or anything, just a referral to a dermatologist. He recommended a great one.
Dr. Azar and his staff were amazing! I was a few minutes late due to commute issues. I called ahead of time and apologized profusely, but they were really gracious. He was calm, caring, funny, a great listener, and I could tell he had that same relationship with the other patients near me. Really, really great bedside manner - I appreciated it so much, since I wasn't entirely sure how to describe what I was struggling with. One of his patients even spent 10 minutes chatting with me in the waiting room to tell me how much she, a longtime patient, and her family loved Dr. Azar. Can't beat that! Also, he had Saturday morning appointment slots available - really crucial for a busy working girl like me.
He was very nice, took the time to get to know me. Loved how he knew exactly what was wrong with me
Very knowledgeable, was a great listener, and a very down to earth guy. I would highly recommend him.
