Dr. Megan Braiman is a board-certified family physician who strives to create an open, supportive environment where patients feel heard and empowered in their care. Originally from Los Angeles, she made the cross-country leap for her undergraduate studies, earning a B.A. in epidemiology from the University of Rochester. She then went on to earn her medical degree from Albany Medical College. Dr. Braiman completed her family medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, where she served as Chief Resident.

Dr Braiman is the first primary care doctor I’ve had in several years and after one appointment, I’m already thrilled with my choice. She had an excellent energy— as did the office in general— and I never felt as though she was trying to rush through our appointment. She was attentive, warm, and answered all of my questions! I’m excited to continue onward with her!

I came to my annual physical appointment prepared with a short list of questions- for example, I wanted to know if symptoms I have been experiencing might be PCOS. However, they made me sign a form acknowledging that getting medical advice, treatment plans, or even referrals to other providers was NOT included in the annual physical and would be billed as a SECOND APPOINTMENT. The only things included in the “physical” are taking your height, weight, blood pressure, and asking you run-of-the-mill questions about your drinking and drug use, etc. I didn’t even change into a gown- there was hardly an exam at all. Anything else is not included. Asking your doctor a QUESTION about your health costs extra!
Especially galling was how the nurse asked me if I’d been experiencing symptoms of depression… and then discovering that any discussion of anxiety or depression is NOT included in your annual physical.
I will certainly not be returning.

This was my first visit with Dr. Braiman, and I had a really good experience with her and with the office staff. Everyone was helpful and welcoming. Dr. Braiman was attentive and listened to my concerns. She appears knowledgeable and I am happy that I found her as my primary care doctor.
