Dr. Anthony Quartell was born and raised in the Bronx. He is a graduate of the Bronx High School of Science and did his premedical work at Fordham University at Rose Hill. Dr. Quartell graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey with an M.D. degree. His post-doctoral training included surgery residencies, both at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. After serving as a Navy physician assigned to the United States Marine Corps, Dr. Quartell returned to New Jersey, to complete a residency at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey in 1976, under the tutelage and direction of James L. Breen, M.D., FACOG, FACS.

Dr. Quartell is an amazing physician. I have been a patient of his for over 15 years. He is compassionate and caring and took wonderful care of me throughout both of my pregnancies and deliveries. He always takes the time to answer any questions that I may have and is always smiling. Dr. Quartell is the best!

I have been a patient of Dr. Quartell's for over 25 years, and two babies later I am still very happy that he is my physician. I can't put into words how very thankful I am to him. He is an amazing doctor and a very caring and compassionate person. Dr. Quartell has gotten me through some very tough times and I am very grateful for all his help! Dr. Quartell and his awesome staff are the greatest in my book!

My experience with Dr. Quartell, his assistants and his staff has always been positive. I don't know what I would have done without Dr. Quartell and his staff when I had a medical emergency 2 years ago. They were all efficient, kind, compassionate and extremely caring. I feel very safe with him and I am always reassured that I am in great hands. Dr. Quartell spends a lot of time getting to know his patients and makes sure all of your concerns are addressed. Since meeting Dr. Quartell and his staff I refuse to go to anyone else!! Dr. Quartell is the best!

I have been a patient of Dr. Quartell's for over 30 years. I can honestly say with complete sincerity that there is no other person I would trust with my well being. He was the physician that was proactive in the detection of my mother's ovarian cancer. He is a man of compassion and integrity. His credentials and accomplishments speak for themselves! A mother loves her children above all others and that is how much faith I have in his ability. Dr. Quartell is now the OBGYN for my daughter! You could not find a better doctor or human being!

Dr. Quartell is the most genuine and sincere practitioner I have ever been to. He delivered me 34 years ago and now I am seeing him for my first pregnancy. Dr. Quartell is one of the nicest doctors I have ever known. He delivered my son back in 1977. He had been away on business and wasn't sure if he would be back in town by the time I delivered. He put my mind at ease by assuring me that he would be there as long as he was back. I went into labor and I was told at the hospital that he had a physician covering him as he was not on call. But shortly there after Dr. Quartell called me personally to tell me that he actually was back and that he would come to the hospital for me. I never forgot that. Through the years I would tell everyone that story, including my own daughter who is now pregnant and being seen by Dr. Quartell. Dr. Quartell is the best!!
