He is an amazing amazing doctor
He had zero empathy and spent the entire time looking on the computer. No idea about possible diagnosis either.
Dr. Teitel was excellent, supportive, and very helpful.
Appeared to be a competent and knowledgeable doctor, nice bedside manner and friendly demeanor. Office pleasant, waiting time appropriate.
Dr. Teitel was very welcoming, personable, and kind. He also didn't order any unnecessary tests, which I really appreciated. I would certainly recommend him to others.
Dr.Tietel was very educated and gave me a dignostic that makes sense, I am only waiting for my blood test to confirm, but in ths meantime, he gave me samples to use and I think overall was a good appointment, nothing to complain.
Had a great appointment with Dr. Teitel. I liked that he played music in his office and he was super personable, answered all of my questions patiently, and seemed really knowledgeable. Great experience :)
I was completely satisfied with my visit. The Dr is extremely pleasant, professional and knowledgeable about his field of Rhematology. Gave me a through examination and pain relieving medication for my pain. On a scale of 1-10, I give Dr Teitel a 10+. Thank you Dr Teitel! Maria J. P
He's a very caring Dr. Always very patient and takes his time with each patient. I travel from DE to see him because I trust him, and he has a great chairside manner. Never a long wait either runs on appointment schedule. I highly recommend him!
Dr. Teitel was very professional and very interested in my well being as opposed to be just another patient. He assured me the faster I get more test done, the faster he will help me feel better.
excellent bedside manner. appropriate amount of time noting my health history. explained things very clearly.
Always warm, friendly, attentive, thorough, professional and caring and listens to the patients concerns and needs. Also very quick to respond back to phone calls and emails no matter the time of day or day of the week.
I've had many rheumatologists but I've never had one as knowledgeable as Dr. Ariel Teitel. I learned a lot of things I didn't know about lupus, my body and my medications and I've been living with lupus for six years. He knows his stuff and I'm very happy.
The actual appointment with Dr Teitel was fine. I went and got a whole slew of tests done and his office was supposed to contact me with the results and they never did. I had to call to find anything out and I still haven't received a phone call from him to discuss what could be wrong with me. To me it felt like since my tests were negative he had no interest in helping me figure out what else it could be. Instead of calling me he has been emailing me, which I personally think is super standoffish and unprofessional. I responded to one of his emails asking him if he could think of anything else thats wrong with me and got a one line answer of "Have a nice day" with my lab results attached. Not impressed and would not recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Teitel came out to get us. He answered all of our questions.
Dr. Teitel is great. It's obvious he sees a lot of patients, and this contributes to his expertise. He gave me great recommendations, a referral. He did not recommend surgery immediately. He asked me questions about my lifestyle, how and if I was compromised, and how the pain was affecting my sleep before giving me the name of a surgeon, which I asked for because I decided for myself that surgery was the best option for me. He's a very good, very thoughtful, very experienced and honest doctor. I highly recommend him. Nice staff, too.
Thorough, experienced, critical thinker, offered lots of resources, covered all the bases, got me rolling on track to healing.
this guy ain't bad. he didn't offend me, which is apparently a feat with medicaid managed plan doctors. i was joking around a lot and he took my vibe and joked around back. it was a nice time. he listened to me. he ordered labs i needed.
Dr Teitel was highly recommended by my primary care physician. And I was not disappointed. The office staff were most courteous and helpful. The wait time was almost non-existent. I barely had time to fill out my paperwork. Once the doctor greeted me and led me into the examining room, he was very kind and asked all the right questions. I felt at-ease and I instantaneously felt that he was the "right" doctor for me. It was a thorough exam. He seemed knowledgeable and professional. All good.
I am very gratefule to Dr Ariel Teitel. I learn something new every time I meet him.
He is a nice doctor, but I felt rushed. He also kept going in and out the door telling me to hold on and that he will explain to me what he was talking about in a bit, but he never did. I kept asking questions about my condition and his answer most of the time was "It`s your decision". At the end of the day of course is my decision, but the reason I am there is to find out what he thinks as a specialist about my concerns. His secretary is nice and helpful.
Very professional listened to my concerns. Great bedside manner
Doctor Teitel carefully listened to my condition. Never did he interrupt me or dismiss anything I said. Once he gathered all the data, he was very honest and direct.
Dr. Teitel has been my doctor for 2 years. He is a good doctor, smart and kind. His Secretary is always sweet and helpful. A very low key office where you feel comfortable and cared for.
Better than I expected, he is so professional and knowledgeable.
He was extremely quick and to-the-point but also very thorough. He was also kind and supportive. I would recommend Dr. Teitel to anyone, anytime!
Dr. Teitel has a professional and calming manner. He is always thoughtful about trying come up with new ways to help manage my symptoms wait has never been more than 30 minutes
This was my first visit to Dr. Teitel. I liked his manner, humor, and ability to listen well. He talked about a course of action and the future will tell if it is helpful to me. The icing on the cake was that he was playing Billie Holiday!
Doctor said I had no autoimmune issues, and I got results back with vasculitis!
I would highly recommended.
Dr. Teitel is excellent and thorough! My first visit was really great!
Took the time to listen- was patient, attentive and professional. Left the office feeling like I was closer to understanding what has been bothering me and confident in Dr. Teitel.
Dr. Teitel is wonderful!! Always caring and very thorough.
Muy bueb medico. Se preocupa por el bienestar del paciente
I think he was very professional and friendly. Even the lady at front desk kept me company and engaged in conversation as i waited. I didnt wait that long few minutes past my appointment.
Dr. Teitel is caring, thorough and has helped control my Sjögren's syndrome. I would recommend him to friends and family.
He's nice but perhaps he was running behind that I felt rushed. It's unfair.. Some of us patients really go out of the way for a visit, I was coming from Jersey - left work 2 hours earlier to get his 4:45PM appointment. I was 10 mins late, emailed and called 30 mins prior that I would be running 10 minutes - no one picked up but they responded via email it'll be okay. Was seen at 5:45PM. He was asking me general questions quickly and not really giving me time to answer it. "Do you have a sister" - I have many siblings. If you want to get straight to the point just ask me if anyone in my family is sick unless it's a female issue then ask me directly and not cut me off when I'm replying (if you really don't have time to run around the bush). His assistant sat behind, slouching on the chair. When I walked out, he was texting. Seemed like he's still in college, probably not your field of interest. The computer the doctor was using kept having pop up sales advertisements, not so professional. He didn't explain much, "we'll see" "just have it, hold it, take it for now" that was the most part. He gave me a slip for blood work and an X-ray slip for "just in case.. If I want to..". I feel like I'm getting the run around, I am paying to get diagnosis - it shouldn't be up to me if I want to get X-ray. Unless he said, let's wait for the blood work, I'll let you know if you should get an x-Ray and in the mean time if you prefer, you can do it anyway. Why would I want to waste more money doing things I don't need to do. I obviously just want to get straight to the point, what do you think it is, what are you ruling out, what are we testing for?.. All "I don't know, we'll see".
very good felt very comfortable
Went to him for a second opinion and all he did was reiterate what my last doctor told me. He then hooked me up to a TENS machine in another room so he could see another patient. Then came back and tried to get me out of the office as fast as possible. Do not recommend.
Dr. Teitel was attentive to my concerns and very thorough. He's also engaging and very approachable.
I found Dr. Teitel personable, approachable and professional. He listened to my health issues. Made me feel at ease. His office manager was very pleasant and professional as well.
He is great. Best RA doctor I have seen in NYC.
Disappointing that they do not have the ability to run a blood panel test from within the office. You will need to find a separate lab to conduct any required tests. The doctor is superbly knowledgeable, friendly and all around fantastic.
he was nice and thorough
Very helpful, knowledgeable and individualized.
Thorough. Listened well careful exam explained his plan clearly
Compassionate and loving staff. Felt like family.
He listened and answered all my questions. He was patient and I didn't feel rushed at all during my appointment
Very pleased. The doctor took his time to check me, he was not hurried and was very professional and approachable .
Informative, productive and a pleasure as always.
Sr. Tietel is knowledgeable, friendly, courteous and straightforward in his assessments. And works well with other doctors. Highly recommended.
Dr. Ariel was very friendly and nice. He explained my questions well and seemed very knowledgeable. He also has a great sense of humor. I highly recommend.
Dr. Teitel is has a great bedside manner. He's always very professional , patient & understanding . Angeline W.
Great doctor, very professional, knowledgeable and helpful.
Dr. Teitel is knowledgeable and considerate. His "bedside manner" is wonderful. I can whole hardily recommend him.
The fact that he got straight to the point is what i like the most
Very thorugh, honest and caring ! Spent lots of time and really listened. Gave follow up directions and plan. Highly recommend !
Dr. Teilel carefully evaluated and examined my condition and very satisfied of his care.
Very approachable and knowledgeable.
I am totally pleased with the care I received
The office is clean and has sort of a loft like feel to it. Staff is nice and helpful. Dr. Teitel was easy enough to speak to, and seems to know his area medicine well. The first visit was OK, I don't feel we fully found the root of my issue in one appointment, but would see Dr. Teitel again in the future.
I initially thought that my first visit went well but after receiving negative blood work (via email) I was disappointed. He didn't go over why I could be experiencing my symptoms. My symptoms still continue since then and he quickly dismissed me with a have a nice day. I will not be returning to him.
Dr. Teitel is very kind and understanding. Made me feel welcomed.
I had an appt w/ Dr. Teitel and he spent about 25 on another call while treating me..literally. He was rushing through my appointment and talking very fast. The office is very, very tacky. The office can use a serious makeover. The way that communicates results is done via e-mail which I did not like. Such communication does not grant patients the opportunity to ask questions or express concerns. I will never return to his office. One visit was one too many for me!
Steer clear, this doc rents a semi-private room in a suite and is unprepared to address serious inquiries about symptoms and treatment and is too disconnected from the level of discomfort from symptoms being addressed to be much help, at all.
Very friendly & courteous, attentive to details and thorough. A great professional, who considers every option of traditional and new treatment plans available, and develops a comprehensive plan, specifically tailored to each patient. Always takes time to explain the prescribed course of action in detail. A pleasant and welcoming atmosphere in the office, including the supporting staff.
I loved his tone, he wasn't very loud. His professionalism is spot on. I didn't feel rushed, he was very helpful.
Dr. Teitel is extremely knowledgeable and experienced. He takes such wonderful care of my mom, and is always kind and patient. He is very thorough and takes his time to explain all, we highly recommend him!
Friendly, professional and clean atmosphere. Always a pleasure.
The service was great. The office is very clean and everyone was friendly.
Dr. Teitel was friendly, warm, and compassionate. He displayed competence and professionalism, explaining why he arrived at the conclusion he did with regards to my symptoms. I was allayed of my concerns and so glad I came to see him!
It was total waste of time. After my initial visit, I faxed over my blood work (whatever he asked for) 2 weeks ago on 8/26/15 and still did not hear from the office. Whatever he was "looking for" came out to be negative, which does not mean that I can not get a phone call saying that he cant not treat me and will refer me to a Neurologist for further evaluation. He asked me, "So, you want to know if you have ____." Well, I am sorry doc, I do not want to know if I have ___ but I would like YOU to find out what it is that I have! Its very upsetting and frustrating!!
Dr.Teitel is patient, ask question and is very thorough.
Excellent bedside manner, very thorough. After a terrible experience and mistaken diagnosis with someone else, Dr. Teitel was a welcome change! The wait was short, maybe 10-15 min. Secretary polite, and using zocdoc made paperwork a breeze. Highly recommended.
I was so thrilled. He was on time, professional but relaxed, affable...very happy with him.
Dr. Teitel is very thorough with his patients. He does not rush and he explains everything.
Spent 10 minutes with me and prescribed lab work. Never called me with results despite trying to contact him several times by phone and email. I ended up getting the results on my own directly from the lab.
I went to Dr. Teitel as I was unhappy with my current RA doctor, and I am so glad I did. He was fantastic!
I was very pleased with my visit. He took his time, checking me, and asking me questions. I did not feel rushed.
My experience with Dr Ariel was great. He was patient and compassionate. He really spend time on the diagnosis. I felt like I was in good hands . highly recommend.
Dr. Teitel was great. He really took the time to explain what was going on with me and was able to properly diagnose and provide useful advised to improve my quality of life. I would highly recommend this doctor.
I had an excellent visit with Dr. Teitel. The only improvement I would suggest is to have better sound proofing in exam rooms. People waiting for appointments can maybe hear a little too much.
Dr. Teitel, takes the time to listen and evaluate you. He makes you feel very comfortable and is easy to talk to.
very friendly and attentive and professional!
Dr. Teitel was very thourough and friendly. He was confident in his ability to diagnose my problem.
Dr.Teitel, was very nice and made me feel very comfortable. The office space was very small. Overall my office visit with Dr.Teitel, went well.
Dr. Teitel is personable and extremely thorough. I felt like I was in very good hands and that he spent plenty of time with me to explore my issues. I would recommend him highly.
waste of time. didn't read blood work thoroughly/properly.
Even though I was going through a really bad flare, and literally limped into his office. he made me feel like he will get me better.
Dr. Teitel is one of the kindest and most efficient doctors i have been to in my 50+ years. He is what anyone will call a "true gentleman". Always considerate and listens to what his patient has to say.
He gave me additional insight into my condition. He listened to my concerns and was informed as to his responses
Always a pleasure to see Dr. Teitel. Very nice and helpful.
Went very well. Dr. Teitel is a very good doctor and I highly recommend him.
EXCELLENT IN EVERY WAY!!!!! THANKS ZOCDOC!!!
Very professional and caring and listens to the patient's needs and concerns. A pleasure as always.
Always courteous and friendly. Very interested in what you think. Listens attentively.
Wonderful and caring doctor!
I think it was a good visit. He was very courteous an professional. His office was able to get an approval for an MRI with my insurance company and notified me within 2 hours. Great follow-up and communication!
Very comfortable and welcoming.
Don't let the office space turn you away, I'm glad I didn't. While it is clean and uncluttered it looks a little makeshift. I am SO very glad that I followed through and I hope you do too. Dr. Teitel is extremely thorough while having a great "get to know you" bedside manner. After going from doctor to doctor to doctor, it was refreshing to feel like I am being tended to with great expertise. It's been a week and I would have liked to hear from him but he did say to email him in a week. Just having trouble finding his email!!! Enjoy your experience
Dr. Teitel was awesome. He gave me presumptive diagnosis and excellent care. I'm glad I chose to see him.
its always a pleasure to visit Dr. Teitel. His office is small and neat and the staff is polite.
Office was situated to close. Meaning... chairs are so close together that you feel like the other patients on top of each other. The secretarys do not have space where you can write or lay your belongings when they call you up.
Waiting area was very small, but they were able to accommodate my needs.
Dr. Teitel is thorough and professional. I would definately recommend him to family and friends
He answered all my questions and concerns in a caring and informative manner. It made my visit pleasant.
He is now one of my to my doctors.
Very experienced and knowledgable.
Dr. Teitel is very attentive and thorough with listening to your concerns to figure out what the problem is. His very first sentence to me when he was ready to start the consultation was "I'm all ears, tell me what's going on.", and he took care to address every concern that I enumerated. Great bedside manner, and his office is technologically savvy, getting me into tests at neighboring centers less than two hours after my appointment. My only complaint was the wait time -- I was sitting in the waiting room for about an hour before I was seen -- but that was primarily because there was a new patient right in front of me as well. Regardless of that concern, the wait was worth it for his thorough evaluation, and I would not hesitate to recommend this doctor to anyone else.
Dr Teitel was very courteous, efficient and knowledgeable. He was thorough and professional in exercising his duties and also in discussing his findings and recommendations. Overall a very good experience, (i.e. for a doctor's visit). I was confident that he knew his stuff, and would recommend him for joint related concerns etc.
My visit was really great! Dr. Teitel took the time to get to know me a little. Was very professional and courteous and made me feel very comfortable. For a first time visit, it went really well.
Dr. Teitel was thorough, professional, helpful (while I was there, he went out of his way to look up old test results on my primary care doctor's portal and he emailed me the results he ordered more than once when I couldn't find them) and showed genuine concern.
Dr Teitel was very professional, thoughtful and caring. He made me feel at ease and gave me excellent medical advice. His receptionist was also very warm and friendly too.
Horrible. No follow up since appointment. It's over a week. I have no diagnosis.
Saw him to check my high antibody levels.. went through my results, taking notes, explaining nothings to me. When I asked he say "that's for me to worry about." Then, sent me for a random heart test without much explanation as to why. I never got a call to discuss results and when I called the office to check in on them, they had been lost without much concern. Felt completely brushed off, won't be going back.
He was very thorough and has a positive manner
Dr. Teitel took the time to ask me questions, and address my concerns. He was not an alarmist, and quickly put my mind at ease. He seemed very knowledgeable. I will definitely see him in the future.
What a wonderful Doctor, I felt so comfortable talking to him. He really knows his stuff, would 100% recommend him.
Professional, nice, very thorough
I have been a patient of Dr. T for a long time and he has provided me excellent care.
very friendly and approachable. comforting in answering all my questions. knew my primary care physician and was thoughtful in not repeating similar lab work done. very courteous and knowledgeable.
Dr. Teitel is very pleasant and listens to all you concerns and he responds to whatever questions I might have. I never have to wait in his office which is a blessing.
Very professional and attentive.
Very uninterested in any commentary I had. Went to a different rheumatologist and I couldn't be happier!
Came recommended by my PCP, and he was right: great doctor, very good experience.
Not sure why I made it all the way to see this doc... I've submitted all my info previously, so he just added couple of things. After brief exam, he told me he would need to look at my blood work results, that my new GP has, and then he would be able to tell me more. I feel he should've spoken to my GP about my results (they work closely together) prior to my appointment. I have no idea why I paid money and traveled so far to see this guy...Come back next week... Not sure I will do that either...
Didn't get any answers that I didn't know already.
Totally fantastic! A total expert in his field, thorough and efficient.
He was very thorough and very professional. I would recommend him highly.
He is a straight forward, knowledgeable doctor.
I am a former patient, returning after several months. We picked right up where we left off. I left his office knowing that I'm going to be getting good care, the proper Rx and monitoring for my RA. This time I'm going to stick with Dr Teitel.
I like it. He spent at least 30 minutes on me. And he answered almost all my questios. Recomend
Iam from Poland ,i dont speak English well. Dr. Ariel is fantastic and help me a lot of.
Very nice n friendly doctor. Seemed very well experienced. I would recommend Dr. Ariel to anyone I know.
very friendly and intelligent doctor. highly recommended.
Great experience. I felt like I finally found a rheumatologist that could help me.
I'd been suffering with back pain for months, and had already been to see another doctor who dragged out trying to figure out what was wrong for weeks and weeks. Dr Teitel gave me a thorough exam, went over my previous tests with me, and in about a day figured out what was up and a course of action.
I saw Dr. Teitel for a persistent severe sore throat after two otolaryngologists had been stumped. I suspected it was related to my Sjogren syndrome. Dr. Teitel gave me a saliva enhancing medication that solved the problem.
Doctor Teitel was very attentive and had great bedside manner. He really listened to what I had to say and was very personable. I don't mind waiting because I could see the way he interacted with other patients that I was going to get his undivided attention and I did.
Really nice doctor. Helpful and professional.
Professional and accommodating. Relates very well to his patients and his supportive staff members.
he was very pleasant and thorough..
Dr. Teitel's office is very accomodating. Dr Teitel himself is knowledgable and patient- he doesn't jump to fill you with unnecessary medications. He is someone I trust to guide me through the mystery of autoimmune diseases.
He was nice. Cut off my words sometimes but it's common for doctors I guess. He listens well.
Very professional and thorough.
There was a delay to see the doctor - I think there was an emergency or something, but honestly, after seeing Dr. Teitel, I really didn't mind. He has excellent bedside manner, asked so many questions, and really made me feel like I was in the hands of an extremely knowledgeable, careful professional. He's a fantastic doctor - I absolutely recommend him.
I would highly recommend Dr. Teitl. It was a pleasant experience and Dr. Teitl was very professional and helpful.
warm, professional, trustworthy demeanor. paid close attention to my symptoms. took the necessary time to give me a thorough examination. asked & answered questions. made some immediate suggestions. arranged for blood tests. friendly office.
Dr. Teitel is very thorough and nice. Has a great beside manner and listened to my concerns. I would highly recommend him.
This doctor do not show any knowledge of the health problem I have ( Lupus and Dermathomyositis)
Great doctor. Punctual, responsive, good, prompt diagnosis and treatment. Followed up with me on the phone after lab results came in (not requiring an additional visit).
very helpful, approachable - inspired confidence
