About Dr. James Higgins
Dr. James Higgins received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2015. After graduation, Dr. Higgins sought an outpatient position that emphasized a one-on-one treatment approach to physical therapy. He found this opportunity when he met Frank Ruggiero, owner of Integrative Physical Therapy of NYC (IPT), through a mutual friend and has practiced at IPT ever since.
Since 2015, Dr. Higgins has become co-owner of IPT and earned his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification, equipping him with advanced techniques and methods to help patients achieve optimal function and rehabilitation. In his free time, Dr. Higgins enjoys living an active lifestyle, including running, CrossFit, and Hyrox training.

I have been going to Integrative Physical Therapy for years for different sports related injuries. I have nothing but the best to say about the place! I’ve received great care that is customized to my needs as an athlete and the entire team there is a true pleasure to work with for injury rehab.
