An honors graduate of Princeton University, Harvard Medical School and M.I.T.’s Health Science and Technology program, Dr. Kauvar is widely regarded for her many innovations in the fields of cosmetic dermatology and skin cancer treatment, and is a highly skilled and sought after physician and surgeon.
A board certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs (skin cancer) and laser surgeon, Dr. Kauvar’s extensive clinical and research experience combined with her commitment to patient care ensures that her patients receive the most effective and sophisticated treatments available. She has pioneered new laser treatments for wrinkles, sun damage, birthmarks, hair removal, leg veins and tattoos, which are now commonly used throughout the world, including the widely acclaimed Illuminase™ treatment for melasma.
