About Landon Henriksen
Landon Henriksen is a board certified physician assistant specialized in dermatology. He received his Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from the School of Medicine at the University of Utah, a competitive and rigorous program. He is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and has completed SDPA Dermatology fellowship program. He is bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish and has volunteered hundreds of hours in medical interpretation for Spanish speaking patients. He spent two years living abroad in Argentina and received his Bachelor’s degree in Spanish.
Ensuring that every patient receives high quality care is important to Landon. He emphasizes educating his patients about their skin related concerns while taking time to answer questions. He is empathetic in his care and employs a patient-provider team based approach to address patient concern. Landon is well trained in evaluating and treating a wide spectrum of dermatologic complaints in all skin types. He sees patients for dermatology concerns including but not limited to acne, eczema, hair loss, psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa and skin cancer. He performs biopsies, cyst extraction, lipoma removal, and uncomplicated excision surgery. Among cosmetic procedures he is trained in Botox, lasers, micro-needling, chemical peels, and other aesthetic devices to aid his patients in feeling confident and comfortable in their own skin.
Landon moved to NYC in January 2023 from Salt Lake City, Utah. In his spare time he enjoys painting, adventuring the outdoors, gardening, exploring new restaurants, cooking, and music.

Dermatology Specialists and Dr. Henriksen were by far one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in a doctors office! I was seen almost immediately, assistant was friendly and attentive. Dr. Henriksen was extremely knowledgeable and personable. Removed two minor spots on nose and cheek, with a follow up visit just to make sure everything was clear, prescribed a facial lotion for Rosacea with a pharmacy that called me within five minutes of leaving the appointment. Prescription was completely covered by insurance with no copay, and would deliver to my house! Overall great experience and in and out within 35 minutes! Highly recommend Dermatology Specialists in Harlem, Dr. Henriksen and his team!

Avoid This Clinic if You Need Timely Care
I had an incredibly frustrating experience with this clinic that I feel compelled to share. I was prescribed a time-sensitive medication that must be taken within 72 hours, yet the clinic never sent the prescription to the pharmacy. I called multiple times to follow up, only to be met with excuses, delays, and complete disregard for the urgency of my situation.
By the time I finally got a response, it was too late for the medication to be effective. This level of negligence is unacceptable, especially for a healthcare provider. If you need a clinic that actually follows through on prescriptions—especially for urgent matters—go elsewhere. I wouldn’t trust them with my health again.

Great but not clear prescription follow up

I used my insurance to search for someone in network and filled out all the necessary paperwork online before the appointment. I got there, after traveling over 45 minutes, to be told I wasn’t in network and that even though they knew, the office didn’t bother to try calling me before my appointment to confirm information or clarify. I booked on Zocdoc and they also knew this is a common issue for those booking through the site but still didn’t take action for it.
