Dr Jain have received numerous awards and recognitions. Dr. Jain held senior position at various leading institutes. He currently is a leader in Medical community as an elected Delegate of the Medical Society. Dr. Jain has been Chairman of West Penn-Forbes Hospital Psychiatry, Medical Director of Allegheny East MHMR, Medical Director at UPMC Facility, Medical Director of Geriatric Services, Chief of State Mental Hospital as well as Founder of Best rural Federal clinic psychiatric services. Dr. Jain has done extensive research in Addiction and published a thesis titled "Psychiatric Comorbidity for Heroin Dependants"
Dr. Jain did his Psychiatry Residency from University of Texas, Houston and was the top resident doctor and served as Chief Resident in the program. Dr. Jain published numerous articles, journals, books and engaged in many community awareness programs. He is widely acknowledged for his compassionate care, family like approach for caring. I honestly liked him when I first started seeing him. As time has gone by, I have had issues with the meds he prescribed, and he genuinely doesn't care how I feel. I know he's the one with the degree but it's my body and I know it isn't working.
Not my first rodeo with psych meds. The final straw was my husband was in the hospital on a ventilator and I couldn't get to my appointment. I called his office to ask if it could be refilled for at least a few days until I could get to his office. He refused to fill my prescription, because I had not been to his office since last month.
I don't feel he isn't the right doctor for me if he can't be a little compassionate. I've never had him call in a prescription before, so it's not as though I am abusing the privilege.

RUN AWAY! This is no reputable physician's office, it is a money-hungry machine that will pack in as many paying people in a day as possible.
The office is crowded, noisy, and very tasteless. It did not seem clean or welcoming at all.
You need to ask yourself why this doctor is available...

I found out the night before that this doctor considers any ZOCDOC appointments emergency appointments which are hundreds out of pocket. They do not accept insurance if your first appointment is through ZODOC.

It was a wonderful visit however I was a bit confused because prior to scheduling I contacted the Office and asked if they would be able to treat my condition (ADHD)
And they told me they did prescribe Adderal and that it would not be an issue. I brought my Medical records for the past 2 years and prescription chart record from the pharmacy. I've been taking this medication for 5. years without any problems .
Dr. Ashok Jain wanted me to try other medications that I was not interested in trying and I was dissatisfied with his
Services.
I felt that my time and money was a waste. His staff is awesome and he is very kind however I'm not interested in seeing him again.

I had high anxiety and my the meds that my other docs have had severe side effects so I stopped everything. Dr. Jain gave me enough confidence to go on meds again by starting with a very small dose. Am at ease now and it's only been one day.
It's expensive but am hopeful about the treatment

Dr. Jain truly makes you fee comfortable and does not judge at all! He respected my wishes and approach I was hoping to take, but also gave me real facts and statistics....he is genuinely knowledgable and understands how hard this is for me. Dr. Jain is a wonderful physician!

Awful service. A large entry fee applies to all new patients, beware. No treatment or prescription or advice given for my disorder. I understand his good intentions but some people go to psychiatrists to have their needs met, not undermined by their morals. He also closed my chart so he wouldn't have to see me again. (I was very professional in communicating, never talking out of line, just to be treated with the least respect.) also 3-4 patients were booked at the same time as me, very unprofessional.

I feel like Dr Jain has a gift of wanting to make people feel whole. He maybe tells everyone this, but hearing him say, "I'm excited you're here because I want to help you change your life", makes me so hopeful. His entire staff is kind. It's greatly appreciated to not feel too broken to be helped. Dr Jain is giving me the light at the end of the tunnel.

Very professional, yet very kind, cares about his patients. When with a patient, he makes you believe you are only person in the world. Focuses totally on patient-listens to concerns. I respect and admire Dr. Jain. He has turned my life around.

Dr. Jain has been a vital part in my life as I recover from the lost of my 10 yr/old son and husband. Through his instruction and group therapy I've been able to function day by day. The grieving process is very difficult but Dr. Jain has provided coping mechanisms and skills to help me with my everyday issues - my anxiety, depression, & PTSD.
