The wait time is unacceptable HOWEVER, he is an amazing doctor who cares and knows exactly how to take care of a client from prescriptions to kindness, empathy and sympathy. They admin staff has got to get the appointments under control. 30-60 minutes, no biggie. 2.5 hours? That's a flight to Miami!

There are very few doctors that are as good as him. Therefore, you will have a long wait time. Make sure to bring in a book, or a laptop for time to pass by. He listens to every patients worries and provides treatments accordingly. It's worth it

Amazing and brilliant psychiatrist. He was able to understand my case so well so fast. Go seek the best mental health care here instead of settling for any physician .

Honestly, i think generally he is a nice and very opened and narrow minded person down to earth; he will listen to what you have to say and give you some advice, very skilled, linguistic...etc. The only thing you will not like is that you have to wait alot

I hate how you have to wait a long time for him, but i like the doctor. I don't like the office either. It very hard to get in touch with them over the phone in order to make appointments or check on prescriptions or other routine matters.

Dr Ash himself is fine but his office is a mess. I've never had to wait for more than an hour to see someone and the last three visits I've had to wait over 2 hours. It's super unorganized and the staff is unfriendly. Only go here if you don't value your time. I'm super upset.

There's always a wait to see Dr. Ash, but the best things in life are worth waiting for. I love this doctor and the amazing people who work at his office.

Had a 8PM appointment, in which I checked in at 7:30PM and asked to be called when my turn came. Ended up dropping by at 11 PM and being seen at 11:30PM. At that point, the doctor seemed a bit tired and we had a relatively quick appointment. He was friendly though. The waiting room is full of frustrated people waiting for their appointments.

I was prepared for the wait time, but it really wasn't too bad. My last appointment I was seen 30 minutes early. I like the doctor, it was my first time seeing a Psychiatrist and it was a pleasant experience

I honestly have no idea what to think about the doctor. By the time I finally got to see him, I was so exhausted, all I wanted was to get my medication prescription and leave. He asked a few more-general questions, gave me my prescription, and that's it. I had an evening appointment (after working all day, mind you), but wasn't seen until 3 hours after my appointment!! Appointment times don't mean anything to them: it is still first-come, first-served. Some of the other patients waiting that I spoke with had appointments after mine and were seen before me because they signed in earlier. Also, the receptionists kept saying 'x' number of people were before me, but that 'x' number didn't include the people that they let in between appointments who "just" wanted to ask a "quick" question. And when confronted about this inconsistency, they moved me up the queue to try to appease me. Unless you have no other options, I wouldn't recommend wasting your time here, because they clearly don't value your time.

My appointment was at 6pm even tough i was there on time, had to wait 2 hours and 30 minutes to be seen by the doctor. The waiting room is crowded and unorganized. The office should not overbook appointments and respect the time of patients that booked appointments in advance.

Great Doctor. Helpful and listens no rushing you out the door. Just be prepared for a one to two hour wait time. Hence he doesn't rush people.

The front desk people here are the worst I've ever seen. Not only are they rude but they also don't respect your time. I was seen more than two hours after my scheduled appointment! Stay away.

Dr. Ash is an amazing psychiatrist. Not only does he listen to your problems but also gives personal advice on how to manage the problem and if medication is needed he prescribes it and explains how it works. Yes the wait time is pretty long but it is completely worth it.

I'm literally still in the office waiting to be seen. Came at 7:00pm. It's 9:05pm. If you have any sort of schedule in your life be prepared for it to be unabashedly disrespected.

The wait is ridiculous, however, he is a great doctor with great bedside manner. I've learned to check in and then go to dinner or the gym and come back. He doesn't spend a lot of time with you but i never feel rushed. His office is bad with responding. I asked for paperwork to be filled out and a month later, i quit but only b/c i was able to do without it.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ashraf for almost 3 years now and I am very happy, satisfied and always walk out of there knowing I got somewhere with my appointment. Usually psychiatrists just write your script and you leave , HE actually listens to me vent and talks to me about my issues even though he has other patients waiting. The only problem is which is normal is the waiting time. If you book an appointment , you know your going to be waiting about 1 or 2 past your time but personally he is worth it.

This guy is great. Really makes you feel like he's listening to your concerns and takes the time to explain why he's prescribing what he's prescribing. Very rarely do I feel so at ease around a doctor, and I never feel like he's rushing me out. These are really important things for any MD, but especially a psychiatrist—to make you feel listened to and understood. HOWEVER, there will always be a long wait at this office. I think Dr. El Shafei does his best to help as many people as he can, which means his office is open late and is always packed. If you come prepared with a book and some headphones, I really do think the quality of care is worth it.

Make sure to take a book, or a laptop to watch a movie while waiting. Or go run some errands the staff is nice enough to give you a call when one is ahead of you. Because he's one of the best, the wait time is anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours. Mentally be prepared for the wait, but overall he's an amazing doctor and takes his time in evaluating patients and listens to all their concerns. Very worth it!
