I am a mother of three and a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience in psychiatry since 2007. My specialties include Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorders, Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, ADHD, PTSD, and LGBTQIA care.
I began my nursing career in the Nurse Residency program at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore in 2007. I graduated with a Master’s in Nursing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, as a nurse practitioner in 2015 and have been working in psychiatry since 2007. I am experienced in caring for patients of all ages in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I am affiliated with the University of Texas Dell Medical School and am a former associate professor of psychiatric nursing at Rasmussen College in Rockford, Illinois, and Herzing University in Madison, Wisconsin.
I serve on the executive board for the Association of Ghanaian Advanced Practice Nurses Abroad and am also a member of the Texas Nurse Practitioners, the American Psychiatric Association, and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
In my leisure time, I love to paddleboard or kayak, or curl up in a chaise reading and sipping something warm. I also enjoy listening to Afrobeat music and dancing!
