Dr. Augustus Hill's childhood aspiration growing up in St. Louis, Missouri was to become a physician and a surgeon. He fulfilled his desire by completing a premedical program at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, followed by graduation from the University of Missouri Medical School. Dr. Augustus completed his internship at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio and his surgery residency at Howard University in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Hill entered private practice in 1982 in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia and achieved Board Certification in General Surgery.
Dr. Hill had conducted trauma surgery while beginning his practice and then continued his interest in laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Hill begun during his residency by demonstrating proficiency in advanced laparoscopic procedures and achieving membership in the prestigious Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons very early in his career. In addition to his duties as medical director of a busy multi-specialty medical practice, Dr. Hill is a clinical instructor at Howard University School of Medicine and Chief of Surgery at both the Premier Ambulatory Surgical Center in Washington, D.C. and Metro Surgical Center in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Dr. Hill is married and the father of four children and an avid sailor who also enjoys skiing and world travel.

I found my visit to be very pleasant and professional. I felt very at ease with the doctor. I was early for my appointment and did not have to wait more than 15 minutes to see the doctor. I have already referred a family member to him.

On my first visit , I forgot needed information. Maria went more than the extra mile to assist me in an alternate way to obtain the information. She was professional, personable and patient. I knew then that my encounter with Dr. Hill would be met with the same and more.Since then, I remembered that I saw him once in 1994, His warmth and knowledge are what sent me back.I would definitely recommend.
