Dr. Babak Kaviani received his M.D. from Shiraz Medical School in 1997. After coming to the United States, he became interested in Podiatric Medicine and Foot & Ankle Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Kaviani graduated from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in 2005. He then completed a three year surgical residency at City of Angels Medical Center.
During his residency, Dr. Kaviani had the privilege of being the Chief Resident of the Baja Project for Crippled Children in Los Angeles, California. He traveled to Mexico, Honduras and El Salvador for surgical mission trips.
After completing his residency in 2008, Dr. Kaviani joined his wife, Liza, also a physician in Texas. Dr. Kaviani’s training has emphasized in Pediatric Foot and Ankle Correction, as well as Sports Medicine and Biomechanics. He is also trained in conservative and surgical management of clubfoot deformity, including Ponsetti’s method of casting.

I was looking for a second opinion on an issue I was having with my feet. Dr. Kaviani did a fantastic job examining them and was thorough in both giving advice as well as the reasoning behind it. I would highly recommend seeing him for your podiatry needs.

Dr Kaviani was awesome, I was actually called from the waiting room before I even finished my paperwork. Paying for things was straightforward and fast, paperwork was limited, nothing outside the ordinary. Office was clean, waiting room spacious, no complaints. Dr Kaviani was quick, about as painless as it could be considering that injecting lidocane has a rather intense burning sensation, well wrapped up and healing very quickly. Overall, I'd highly suggest him.

I have been struggling with foot/ankle pain for about a year now, it is to the point where It was too painful I had to finally make an appointment with a specialist. I came upon Dr. Kaviani on ZocDoc and read all the wonderful reviews and it was a plus that it was not far at all from where I live. The check-in process was really quick I was seen in less than ten minutes. Dr. Kaviani was really nice and got straight to the issues I am having asking further question about my lifestyle so he could further assist me. I actually felt like he cared about my foot pain and is willing to go the extra mile to do the research and find out what is wrong with me. He was very funny and made me feel comfortable and I loved that! I highly recommend Dr. Kaviani and cant wait to see him again to get rid of this pain!

There was more of a wait time than I'm comfortable with (I would have appreciated an update from the people at the front), but I felt much better as soon as I got back in the room. Dr. Kaviani brought me back himself and got straight to work. He was very honest with me, but also understanding (especially of my love of high heels!).

Dr. Kaviani is a great podiatrist. I was not in the best mood when I started my appointment because of chronic pain issues. He was able to help me understand my problems much better and give me resources and referrals so that I felt much better at the end of my appointment. Dr. Kaviani is the best.

Dr. Kaviari's demeanor is warm, attentive and humorous. I did my own background research so I came in with many questions that he was able to answer. He provided me with additional information and I feel better educated about my condition.
He took time to examine me feet thoroughly: examined my feet while sitting and standing, marked my ankles to estimate the severity of my pronation, watched the gait of my walk, and make a plaster cast of my feet for new orthotics. I felt his explanations were thorough and helped me better understand the biomechanical problems of my feet/ankles and how that affects my walking and flexibility.
Sitting in the waiting room was fairly long, about 40 minutes until I saw the doctor. I had to ask the staff once for any additional paperwork I needed to sign (since I submitted my medical background through zocdoc), and then again I went up and asked if they needed my drivers license and insurance card to copy.

Dr. K is an absolute treasure! I've been to him a handful of times for different foot/ankle problems. He has always been professional and courteous. He is sincere in his interactions and conservative in his treatments. He takes his time to explain everything to my satisfaction. His demeanor and gentle nature are a credit to his profession.
